"We have now been here four times and consider it to be a great discovery. The menu of mains is diverse and unusual. The food is full of different flavours and beautifully presented. Dessert is a selection from the display of food all of which is delightful to taste. This is a really good lunch venue. It is a lot more than just a cafe for coffee!"

"First time back to the Waterside after a few years and it did not disappoint. A warm welcome and a super enthusiastic owner added real value to the occasion. The food was super and well priced. The log fired added the warmth to the snow outside. Will definitely return."

"Had my high-time reception here on Friday and we literally took over the entire building with all 120 guests and all the bedrooms booked up. nothing was too much annoyed for dean and his team from beginning to end. the day of service and hospitality we received was the first class. can not recommend this place enough!"

"My wife and I have just spent two and a half weeks in various parts of Scotland and Ducks Inn absolutely stands out for the quality and value for money of the dinner we had. The bar/restaurant has a really friendly vibe to it and is clearly popular with locals (always a good sign . My wife 's vegetarian and had roasted pumpkin ravioli with parmesan cream to start followed by puy lentil and vegetable ratatouille, both of which she really enjoyed. I had hot smoked salmon with a glorious gin foam followed by seabass with celeriac puree and creamed potato. Both were really delicious. Fairly full, we managed to share a very generous selection of cheeses (apparently supplied by Haddington 's 'cheese lady ' . The wine list is excellent and the service was attentive and friendly without ever being too much. And, given the price inflation we 're seeing at the moment, I was struck by how fairly priced everything is. Thoroughly recommended dinner venue for anyone in East Lothian (or, indeed, Edinburgh as Aberlady is only a short drive outside the city and a lovely spot to walk around if you 've not been ."
