"Lovely service, great atmosphere with lots of light and windows. Food was excellent. We enjoyed the halibut with butter chicken sauce and the Gnudi with yam and Brussels sprout sides. Everything was cooked perfectly, so fresh and satisfying."

"I love the West coast for it's beautiful, rugged beaches. So we wanted to find a place for lunch to enjoy the views. The restaurant is well designed to take in the spectacular scenery from all directions. We went the first afternoon for a drink, and were very impressed with the service. My husband especially appreciated the extensive menu of craft beer! So we came back the next day for lunch (but first took a stroll on the beautiful beach infront). Our server was very friendly and helpful. The pizzas were very nice (thin crust). Definitely one of my favourite spots in the pacific rim area!"

"Prices are on the high side, though the view is wonderful. Most restaurants serve a decent size appetizer, but not here. 4 scallops and a bit (4 bites) of greens, with a half of a strawberry for $14. It was very tasty, just disappointing in size. Hubby had a pasta entree and it was a decent size, though still $24. The restaurant was inside the Best Western resort and since it was raining, we dined here,. Would probably go elsewhere if there was to be another time."

"We had read the reviews, and although Jamie's was somewhat out of our way, we drove out from Tofino on a Sunday evening, expecting that we would either have to wait for a table or be turned away. We were somewhat surprised, on a Sunday evening, that the place was virtually empty - only a couple of other tables occupied. The view from our table was out some patio doors into a yard of some kind, with the back of sheds (?) so it was better just looking around the dining room. It was a good dining experience, but not a great one. Service was okay - she was paying more attention to the table of motorcyclists (perhaps anticipating a more tips from them), but she did get the job done. Fish and chips were okay - a lot of batter on the fish, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't fresh from the sea - perhaps fresh from the freezer. On the other hand, my wife's salmon was creative and attractive, and she said it was very good. It took a while for the check and handheld machine to arrive, so the tip kind of diminished as the waiting time increased. I wouldn't bother going back again - there are lots of better options, most with a view, in the area."

"If you are just looking for a sheltered place to sit down (inside or out) after a long walk from the south end to the north end of Chesterman Beach, this is a great place to have a coffee break and pastry and admire the view. Server did not come out to check on us but kindly took our orders and served us, not to be seen again until more people sat outside. Unobtrusive, relaxing -- just wish they didn't run out of scones in the mid-afternoon!"
