"For a family meal for 9 people there were and the service and the atmosphere were great. the food was on another level, half Greek I know good Greek food and the dishes were excellent in taste and generous in quantity."

"Have visited a few times and it was fine. But this time, the last time we will be going, it had deteriorated. The first thing was the table. There was old dried food stuck on the table right in front of me, so I had to keep a napkin over it. There were grease marks and crumbs. Yuk! Looked like the table had been laid without being cleaned first. There is clearly no oversight from the owner and the staff are too lazy to care. Do they think we won't notice? They give a free starter of bread, dips and salad, as do most Turkish restaurants. Bread and dips were fine, but the unappealing salad, comprising mainly sliced onion and red cabbage, had some lettuce which was actually rotting around the edges! The mains were passable but very dry. The owner needs to get a grip, or pay the price of their neglect."

"We thought we would try this place for our weekly coffee peer group meeting. The service was very friendly, the place was clean and cosy.we cannot comment on the food as we did not try it. However we did have a coffee each, an americano and a soy latte. In our opinion the coffees were lacking in flavour and my friends was extremely bitter. Apart from that a nice little cafe with attentive staff."

"Been regular visitors to ciaos for some time now but the new owners have now introduced a different menu where prices for breakfast have massively increased from very reasonable to expensive. No discernible quality difference and now looking poor value. Like supporting local businesses but will now eat elsewhere. Recommend cafe Ciaos don’t take customers for granted in these tough times, even supposedly affluent Thorpe Bay."
