"I know most restaurants have trimmed their menus due to the recent economic conditions, but I think the Excelsior Inn has gone a bit too far. I had reviewed their menu online and was looking forward to the dinner. The actual menu, however, was far, far less than advertised. Again, I understand a limited menu, but I really found the menu to be much too limited. No real selections for a high-end restaurant. We won't be back unless and until we know that the menu is back to some semblance of normal. By the way, we have one other restaurant that did the same thing and we won't be returning there until the menu improves. I just think the Excelsior has gone too far."

"Great food and clean restaurant as you walk in even on a rainy day. I order turkey sandwich and ham/Swiss sandwich and both were delicious. I like my sandwich perfectly made, and they made it great. Next time I’ll ask for more veggies, hence I really like a lot of veggie on my sandwiches, this time I thought I asked for what I like turned out I like more veggies then seemed at first. Broccoli cheddar soup was also great. Thank u for making my experience pleasant."

"The food is normally good, but yesterday someone came in with a dog which was stroked and petted by several employees, none of which washed their hands afterwards. It's bad enough having an animal in the restaurant, but preparing my food with dog hands?Give me a break."

"The food was absolutely delicious. It honestly reminded me of a home made meal. The ham and bean soup was very well seasoned and the beans were all nice and tender. The salmon was cooked well and good portion. The corn bread was hearty and slightly sweet I added a little bit of pepper to taste. Will certainly eat here again if I?m ever through the area again"

"Billy Mac's catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception and they did AMAZING! Our guests raved about the catering! Cathy helped craft a perfect catering package and made small accommodations for our events which made it truly unique and perfect. The food was delicious and were thrilled to bring home some leftovers since we barely got to eat at our reception dinner. I highly recommend their catering for evens as well as dining in their restaurant!"

"This place has the best chicken in town hands down. I just had everything in the menu and was not disappointed yet. The staff is friendly and friendly. They do an excellent job to keep it clean. Since it is a bar, no one is allowed under 21 years and that would be my only complaint and a minor complaint."

"Meh. Out of the first two things I wanted to order. I had to clean off my own table just to sit. I never got my drink and had to remind them twice for it, which was just a water and they charged me a soda price for it. Underwhelming food. I’d keep driving to jeff city or lake of the ozarks instead of stopping here."
