"We’ve been here a few times when we visit our relations who live in North Stoke ,it’s a bit off the beaten track narrow roads but worth it ,outside seating which is great especially on a sunny day ,nice old character pub ,just a cosy feel about it ,there’s parking behind the pub ,it’s very popular especially on week ends .definitely worth a visit"

"The first meeting for dinner was nice and okay. The next day we strolled over hungry for lunch but met a caos. Would recommend you prenotate before going, as we were dished an unexpected surprise, we waited for close to an hour and a half to be served a plate we jointly demanded to help the kitchen meet their imposed fry pan fried 1/4 chicken."

"I use this place regularly for a drink and once or twice before for food. There’s nothing wrong with the staff all bar a couple of them. They’ve got communal toilet which is labelled baby changing, everyone uses this staff included! I chose not to not being lazy to walk upstairs! I’ve had to pull them on measures a couple of times, they’re quite happy to poor under the legal requirement. I was in this place probably an hour plus, in this time no one in or came in ate. I went to the toilet just before the end of my visit and walked passed the kitchen as you do and found this….."

"My wife and I ate here on a Sunday night, and were really impressed with what we found. It is a wine bar, which serves a reasonably extensive snack menu. Think of it like a French tapas kind of idea, with a number of small plates on offer to eat whilst sampling the many wines, rather than a traditional restaurant serving starters and mains. We ate the wild garlic pesto tartiflette, which was delicious, and also had a charcuterie board, with generous portions of iberico ham, parma ham and cooked ham, together with bread and chutney, which was equally delicious. The other plate we ordered was a prawn and avocado salad in a balsamic vinegar dressing. This too was really tasty and was a generous size. It being a wine bar, there are numerous wines on offer, but what we chose to do was the wine flight, where you each get three small glasses, each of a different wine. I chose the Bordeaux flight and my wife chose the Rioja flight. For about £15 each, we thought it was good value and enabled us to try six different wines for a reasonable price, all of which complemented the food perfectly. There are also both white and sparkling flights available, as well as a good wine list, most of which were very reasonably priced. The restaurant/bar itself is relatively small, and reminded me of a cosy ski lodge, with wood panels on the wall and nice bench seats. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was excellent. All in all, it was a lovely evening and we really enjoyed our visit and would have no hesitation returning if we are ever in the area again."

"Then went into the view and the terrace then went into the caffe wonderful personal. not like chain business chiefs. cappuccino brilliant creamy coffee mild then the bitter intense of chocolate £37 it would be good absolutely brilliant and my wife's ass cake never saw a factory and I had a sandwich to die for £5 worth of smoked salmon and garnel and I sent nice to the wonderful coworkers discreet. no body say, they are enjoying their meal..what a stupid thing to say, I am an ultra brilliant thing here."

"Waited 40 minutes for a very simple food order. Drinks order (also not complicated) was misunderstood twice. Place seemed to be run by teenagers out of their depth. When I chased the food, I was told they were really really busy, but there were not many people in the pub and most weren't eating. Pub had also inexplicably run out of peas Disappointing. Will not be coming back"
