"We had a really enjoyable and relaxed evening in The Diamond last night. A lovely welcome from the staff, superb food cooked and prepared by Julie. All topped with a great pint of beer and glass of wine. Thank you everyone, it felt like having a comfort blanket wrapped around me!"

"Thus is a place I regularly take my granddaughter. She loves playing here and I get a nice coffee and a relax. She loves dressing up with other children. We sometimes just have toast or snacks and other times stay for lunch. The menu is small but food is tasty. I think it's a great place to have for a nice break with young ones"

"Bought some sticky yum yum and a large sourdough loaf from here. The lady serving was lovely, even gave me a loyalty card, and the cake and bread are absolutely delicious. Wish I lived nearer I would buy my bread here all the time"

"I went today to pop-in cafe for breakfast and I had baquete with ham,bacon, cheese and mayo and also for dessert apple pie with vanilla ice-cream. Both were really tasty and fresh! Highly recommend! Apostolos"

"I have mixed feelings about my experience here. I think this could be outstanding. Great venue, great vibe. Helpful staff choosing a wine, good selection of beer. Walked in via the back as we parked in the car park. Bar staff welcoming and friendly. Ordered a drink and decided to sit outside. The front was clean and tidy but on a main road so busy and noisy. (Not unpleasant at all) decided to head to the secret garden at the back. It was lovely but a bit windy, I imagine it would be stunning on a still day. We hadn’t booked a table but when getting our drinks we were told a table could be available when required. When we were ready we came in and were directed to our table. A round table near the door. The pub was busy but not full. There were other tables that probably would have been a better choice. Our orders were taken (menu has wine matches with the meals) I ordered the roast loin of pork with crackling. He ordered roast sirloin of beef. All roasts come with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, braised red cabbage, broccolini, greens, roasted roots (we had parsnip and carrot) and lashings of gravy. We waited quite awhile for our meals to come. At one stage one of the staff came to ask if we were waiting for food. Plates served, there was definitely lashings of gravy but I had to hunt for the crackling. It was a good meal, good serving. If I had to be picky I’d say the pork was a bit dry but it was smothered in gravy so I didn’t mind. Be nice to see the gravy served in a jug so you can add your own. No one came during the meal to check if it was ok or if we wanted more drinks. Bloody Mary needs a little bit of work but ok. Disappointed to be charged 10% service charge on the bill. I don’t mind paying for service but didn’t feel that the service warranted the charge. Overall I enjoyed my meal, I would go back."
