"We recently stayed at the Guildford Holiday Inn over the weekend of our sons wedding, which took place nearby. We found the staff friendly and courteous, rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit disappointing cold bacon, powdered egg and coffee from a machine that was Luke warm. However we ate in the restaurant in the evening and found it to be more organised with basic but delicious food being served. If we return to Guilford would most likely book again, but just have a continental breakfast."

"Came here earlier with my friend. There was no queue, the people working there was nice. HOWEVER if you are a student and want something cheap, this is not the place. I offered to pay for my friend since it was her birthday and for the two of us it came to £38 (rip debit card). The food was so nice, the burger was a bit dry but that’s due to me not asking for ketchup in my burger. It was really nice and there was a calming atmosphere, will probably be back next month xd"

"Usually very good but my last visit was awful. Understaffed and restaurant was busy I get that but with one exception, nobody made me feel welcome at all. No apologies of the wait, 'you can sit over there ', dirty table, not given a menu .... neither managers nor waitresses could summon up a smile, most were disinterested, two of them had perfected a scowl I was a nuisance. The only member of staff who gave good service with a smile was probably the youngest and least experienced. The bill told me she is called Freya. Avoid weekends service during the week is usually very good."

"The Yurt is amazing, staff are friendly and the coffee and cake offerings are fab! However The Yurt get a bad rap for the pub food served in The Yurt. Today the french onion soup was syrupy like gravy, the chips were over salty, the mushroom parfait was not mushroom enough and an awful texture and the 1st attempt at a cheese scone was cold in the middle, the 2nd attempt at a cheese scone was frozen. All in all not good. I come every week and the food is normally much better but the overwhelming problem is inconsistency caused by the pub chefs and ever changing menus."
