"MY FAVOURITE SUSHI PLACE!. Now I say this is my favourite sushi place NOT for the sushi but for the service. Honestly, I am fine eating sushi that is good but not great if it means I get great service. I would rather spend money and tip large at Happy Sushi than at some franchise restaurant to some server who is providing service solely for a nice tip. Vivian, the wife, is soooo sweet. I absolutely LOVE coming here. It's worth coming down just to get to chat with her! For sure the environment is a little different when she's not there serving (which is usually during weekday early afternoon..shes probably taking care of her kids or something) but whenever she is there, I PROMISE you will get great service! The stamp card is also a great incentive to get me to keep coming back! Every $10 you get a stamp and they add up fairly quick!! I eat at this place at least twice a week and have been doing so for a really long time and probably will continue to for a reeeeally long time! Thank you Happy Sushi!!"

"I'm from Alberta, so I don't eat seafood often and when I do it isn't very pleasant. I visited Vancouver recently and my girlfriend (who is originally from BC) took me to her favourite Sushi restaurant. As we approached it, it seemed tiny, hidden/tucked away....The service was very quick which was nice (because when I'm hungry, I like to eat as soon as I'm hungry). After looking through the menu I decided on a combo platter. Might as well try a little bit of everything! My gf got her favourite dish, the pink lady roll. It didn't take long to be served (maybe minutes max) and at first bite I was in love. I had a bite of the pink lady roll as well and THAT was amazing. We ended up going back the next day because I wanted more. The spicy roll sauce is the perfect amount of spicy and savoury. In Alberta, seafood is expensive, because it's flown in and frozen/ not very good times (unless you want to fork out some serious cash, which I'm not willing to do). The prices were so cheap and you get a lot. I couldn't finish mine because there was so much, and it was under Very, very satisfied! I will be returning!! PS in the photo there should be or more pieces of sushi, but I ate them before taking the picture!"

"Incredible sushi near stadium chinatown station.We had the yum yum crunchy roll, which is avocado, yam tempura, cream cheese with some sweet soy sauce and crispy yam tempura sprinkled on top and it was one of the best vegetarian special rolls I've had in my life.They also serve hot green tea before your meal, and have a nice selection of Japanese beer and soju.Try them out!"

"I order teriyaki food and my wife teriyaki bento for lunch. The beef taste good and not too sweet and also no fat.Bento teriyaki, the California roll size ok and also recommend.Sushi fisherman roll also recommended, it combined with skin salmon.The Gioza pork, really good too and the skin gioza was thin and bit crispy on the outside skin.Overall good Japan Food."

"This restaurant seems to be in some sort of transition. It calls itself Sushi Library but the two staff were wearing red Tokyo Joe t-shirts. I think it caters more to the lunch crowd as there were empty cooling cases that probably hold pre-made sushi earlier in the day. I had a Chirashi Don that came with a number of little bites of pickles and savory bits that added to the fish nicely. It was also served with a tempura piece that looked exactly like a McDonald's hash brown and came out of the grubby freezer that sits in the far end of the narrow little restaurant. It tasted like freezer food too so could stick to my diet after one assessing bite. The other chirashi ingredients were somewhat fresher and tastier. At nearly $15.00, with a complimentary plastic cup of tea, it's not exactly cheap but felt healthier than some nearby choices."

"DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE ANYMORE! Sushi ville was always our go to. We just ordered a full order of spicy salmon sashimi with the sauce on the side. The picture below is the portion. It looks like 2 pieces of sashimi cut up into smaller pieces. This was $16.95. I went back and asked the lady and she said this is their portion everyday, not a problem. This is normal daily I will probably never waste my time here ever again. Every other sushi place Ive visited recently has about 4x the size for a full order of sashimi around $16-20. Hopefully they bring their quality back to before until then I will not be coming here again."

"The yakisuba is bland but the oyaku is overly salty with the soy bean sauce. In what reasonable mind do they price their food at such high price but with such poor taste? Disappointed"
