"TRY 'EM!. This place cranks-out some really excellent mexican food. Their cuisine has to be considered near the top of the list of all tex-mex joints in SW Michigan. Only about 10 tables; We lucked out, sat down right away on a Saturday afternoon, and watched as a line began to form for tableservice. BUSY place; Much of their business is take-out. The room has the ambiance of a diner w/styrofoam cups, paper plates and plastic utensils but the quality of what they serve-up here more than makes-up for all that. You can watch the cooks do their thing and they 're in non-stop motion. The waitresses were pleasant and provided everything we wanted. The complementary homemade chips salsa were excellent with the salsa (green red) being served in squirt bottles. I had some really tasty Tacos Carnitas and Tacos Al Pastor. With your entree comes a plate of fresh sliced lime, sliced radishes, jalapeno peppers, and grilled baby green onions. My wife enjoyed the beef/chicken dish she ordered and that I forgot the name of... If you 're wanting some really good mexican chow and don 't need serapes and sombreros hanging off the walls, then try Tacos El Caporal. We will be back..."

"Came in for lunch today (very hungover) and got their spicy shrimp dish (camarones a la diabla) — and I am STILL thinking about it hours later. It put a spell on me it was that good. It cured my hangover with its spicy magic. I could taste the love. Going back very soon for more."

"Great service, we were served our meals so quickly. I had a steak taco salad, my husband had a ground beef burrito, both choices were excellent served hot and tasty. Friendly staff and management. Very recommended"

"Meh. My husband and I are a bit of Mexican food snobs after living in Arizona for most of our lives. This isn't traditional Mexican. My husband got the chicken quesadillas which were essentially giant globs of slow cooked chicken in a tortilla. Thebeans had tomato sauce in it which made it taste off and had a weird appearance. My fish tacos; completely lack-luster. It wasmore crunch than actual fish and was incredibly dry and I'm pretty sure they used one filet for all three tacos. The sauces wereok. The chips and salsa were the best part, but for this price I expected better. I could find any random Mexican food stand inAZ and pay half to a quarter of this price and still taste better. My fries weren't even cooked thoroughly. They were mushy andunsalted. Looked great, sorely disappointed in the taste department. You'd be better off getting Taco Bell."
