"I 've just read AJMcins comment, and my experience was SO similar. The owner was SO rude, with a horrible grimace on his face, obviously DELIGHTED to turn myself and my grandaughter away as he was ' 'fully booked ' '.... with empty tables visible everywhere. It was a horrible, humiliating experience, and the owner needs to take himself a LOT less seriously. As my mother would say ' 'he 's far too pleased with himself ' '! He lacks charm and manners. It 's an ok cafe, not much else, so he needs to dial it down a bit. Won 't go again, he doesn 't deserve it."

"Well it has to be said that the sign outside that boasts ‘COME IN AND TRY THE WORST AFTERNOON TEA ONE ANGRY MAN ON TRIP ADVISOR HAD IN HIS LIFE ‘ is right !!! it is absolutely the worst cream tea: large , dry,...mass produced scones , cheap jam and then aerosol cream !! Not even a decent dollop of lovely thick cream to help you digest the cardboard scone …. Save your money it really is dreadful .. rather than them boast and wear the poor rating as a ‘badge of honour ‘ , why don’t they do something about it and make some changes?? Listen to all your customers not only those that leave good reviews"

"This evening I visited the mulberry with my friends for a Christmas get together. Having never been there before, I was looking forward to it having heard so many good reviews. Also, it's kinda pricey, so you expect it to be good. I never usually...leave reviews, especially not bad ones,especially not in times that are hard for the hospitality industry. However....I really begrudge being fleeced for absolutely awful food. I had the Key West burger'. The fish was over cooked with soggy batter on a dry bun. The chips were anaemic and the corn on the cob was the most overcooked piece of veg I've ever eaten in my entire life....you could have eaten it with a straw it was so liquefied. The whole lot had no seasoning whatsoever. As an avid amateur cook, it was absolutely diabolical. The building itself is quite nice inside, with a fabulous view of the Maria. I can imagine it being lovely in the summer for a cocktail on the decking. Have a drink here....but don't eat! I won't ever be returning for food."

"As soon as came into Wales this was the first place I saw and told my husband we needed to visit! We popped in to see what times they were open and visited twice over the course of our stay. The cafe is only little, but they have a lovely little outside area too. Really friendly people who run the cafe and they make their own chocolate!! We bought some and have had it since we have been home and it was delicious! The food was nice, my husband and I had sandwiches and scones. Their hot chocolate is real drinking chocolate, and you can choose from all different flavours, and it was lovely, the best hot chocolate I've had. I was sorry to leave and would love to visit again!"

"Decided to eat something after a short walk through the shops. went to order a cake meal and lady looked at us and said: "It's pretty big, I wouldn't get it." then we ordered something else. I wanted to say a pepsi...float for them then “you can, but the ice creams a bit hard so...” for me, which translates as “I’m too lazy to scoop the ice. they do not take a card which I would normally not make out, but considering that we still go through the corona virus pandemic, I think is extremely unhygienic, as I did not see that a member of the personals sanitise or wash their hands once. the tables would be cleaned, but again, never was sanitised / cleaned at all. the tables that are not cleaned are something that should be regarded as unacceptable before the pandemic, which is kept silent during the pandemic. overall, eating was good for the facility, but the staff seemed lazy and rude to time, even not very hygienic."
