"I’ve been here many times over the years but the food really is fantastic. Soup was amazing, panini great and ice cream is second to none. My only criticism is the bathrooms really need a revamp but the food and service are deserving of 5 stars."

"We go to yo sushi regularly and always have a fantastic experience whether it's click collect or dine in. I've always used my blue light discount in store or online and never had any issues. Tonight we decided to have a treat and order...click collect but the website kept going into an error and would not let us order. We phoned instead to explain where they took our order instead, which was fine, but the staff member said we were not able to have the blue light discount as this was online only? I argued that this was not true and it has always been and still states in the T&Cs that it is valid in store and the fact we couldn't use it online was the fault of the website. The staff member remained adamant it was not possible for them to give the discount. Poor service or lack of knowledge by staff has tainted our experience tonight. Will be inclined to opt for the stores who have no issue providing nhs discount without making us feel an inconvenience."

"I really don’t make these types of reviews however I was really upset by how I was spoken to and treated yesterday that I really needed to write this. I was stopping by to kill some time early in the morning and to have a coffee with my work team before we had something planned. I was waiting in line ready to be served to then be told we couldn’t pay by cash and it had to be card I was a bit embarrassed as I only had cash on me and to my dismay I had to put food back, scanned myself in and then proceeded to head over to the table where most of the others were sitting. As I was trying to do this discretely because of my embarrassment, the woman behind the bar (seemed to be the manager) who I couldn’t hear very well seemed like she was trying to stop me, so I said sorry I’m not getting anything, I’m going to sit with the rest of the table. She continued to bark at me saying I needed to scan myself in even though I had and I did mention however she never listened. She got extremely heated and was very rude and aggressive shouting you need to scan. To diffuse I just went back over to pretend to scan again so that she would stop shouting at me. It was so bad that I was asked if I was okay by others and it was commented that she was very rude and not nice at all. I understand working with the general public can be very stressful and tiring as I do it myself. However, I really find that unacceptable. I really don’t expect to be spoken to like that. I eventually got over to the table where the others were sitting and I felt about 2 ft tall and was trying to hold back my tears. I’m really disappointed by this and would really suggest that more customer service training is provided. I think it’s important for businesses to make you feel welcome and that is something I definitely did not feel."

"This is a reply to most of these comments I've had to endure. JL has to become a restaurant with a side area for breakfast. I left but we try so hard against no idea of numbers it's a balance against waste/finances etc., The service however was always utmost in our minds hopefully oor scones never be gone. "

"Wanamoka is one of my fave cafes in the South Side. I live in Shawlands but its worth the nice walk to battlefield for their wraps/paninis/baguettes etc. I find the quality of the meats better than most cafes and the filling choices are varied and...fresh. Very good value for money too! They also make lots of interesting cakes to try. Skip the chains and try here for a much tastier, healthier and cheaper cafe lunch!"

"While eating was, for the price on the lunch menu, tasty enough I did not enjoy my meal here. first, my trust was shaken when the spaghetti blognese with a w that indicated a vegetarian option was a child a misprint and that this court was not wise vegetarian, I also noticed a meal that contained pfefferoni, also claimed to be vegetarian with a w next to it. we have something more secure in relation to vegetarians. now I also ordered some gluten-free, which was good, but I was outraged when the bill arrived and I was extra for enjoying a gluten-free meal! Never before have I ever loaded extra for gluten-free! all in all not my best food...read more"
