"Excellent place in San Miguel de Allende downtown, if you are looking for delicious and well served Mexican traditional food, this is the place you tend to go. We had de arrachera steak and enmoladas with a guacamalole as an entry great food and the clamato michelada was delicious! If you're here, you have to try this restaurant! Great quality and service. "Loved the ambiance on the patio,,,,Oaxacan specialties nicely prepared and mezcal is very popular. The restaurant is poorly marked but, worth the hunt to find it.....It is very near the Oratoria and the biblioteca on Insurgentes."

"Ordered chicken enchiladas. to an order. Plate looked gorgeous. Could only eat There was hardly any chicken in what I did eat. It was all thick tortillas. Took the rest home. Great for using a non styrofoam container, but tell me you will...charge for it. Was pesos for a container when it could have been wrapped in foil like other orders people were taking home. The enchilada I ate for dinner that night was loaded with chicken that was missing from the other ones. Tortillas were very thick. Did not enjoy them and did not eat them."

"Per our B&B owner recommendation, we stopped at Donovan’s after dinner for a chocolate azteca con churros. We try chocolate from various countries throughout Latinoamérica, and can second the recommendation made by Antioneta at Antigua Capilla. This was a nice warm slice of Mexican highland...culture in a warm environment."

"Churros were very hard and probably had been there all day. We were the only people in the place. Then I took my daughter to the restroom and as soon as I turned on the light, lots of cockroaches started running everywhere! Very disgusting!!Paid and left fast!"
