Freakin delicious! Visited my local Applecross Health Freak for the first time the other day and it exceeded my expectations. From the reviews I read it sounded a bit hit or miss so I was apprehensive about trying it out. Thankfully I did because it was a hit for me! Their specialty, the sweet potato and haloumi stack, is one of the best breakies I have ever had (and that's saying something!)<br>

The 2 generous sized potato cakes were warm and homely with the balsamic reduction packing a punch. Sneaky bits of spinach and capsicum are hidden below to make it that bit healthier. The haloumi was well cooked too and provided a great salty contrast with the slightly spiced sweet potato cakes. Both my mum and I had one perfectly poached egg and one hardish egg each. 2 perfect poachies and I would of given it a 5/5.<br>

"The.best.long mac.ever. Food service and staff were wondeful and whilst it was a hard decision to choose what to have from the menu..when it came out it really wouldn't have mattered as im sure anything I ordered would have been brilliant..so fresh and original..cant wait to go again."

"This appears to be the only survivor of the Fig group of cafes (the Naked Fig and the Pickled Fig seem to have closed), and it is in a great location on Scarborough Esplanade not far from the powder white sand and blue ocean. The menu is not overly inventive – it has many of the brekkie favourites – eggs, croissants, pancakes etc. but I liked that the menu offered several vegan and gluten free options. I can’t cope with much dairy – it’s good to have non-dairy alternatives, and this is where a vegan friendly menu helps me."
