"I will say the service was excellent: the greeting by the host was wonderful, I wish I could remember our server's name, he was very accommodating, but the food quality was just yuck. Ordered the portobello mushroom plate: the two anemic mushrooms were dry, unseasoned, the two pasta dishes had no sauce at all. A side of vegetables was also unseasoned and bland. Don't order garlic bulb; it was a huge mess to get out of the bulb. There was a lady seated behind us that had the most piercing voice, who blathered on and on and on about her job, which made the experience at the restaurant a drag. The muddy-sounding and somewhat loud music wasn't remotely Italian at an Italian place in North Beach. Not recommended."

"Fantastic place we were quite happy to find this spot. We had dinner with our toddler (there is also a little play area) who was also very content here. The portions are huge, the meat super tasty, the sauces added a great kick (favorites were the hotsauce and the molasses). Would visit again if we didn't live on the other side of the world"

"Jackie and his staff are quite excellent. The service is always outstanding. We eat here regularly and it is always a delicious meal. He has several unique dishes and the fish is consistently fresh and tasty. The Marina District location is also very convenient."

"This place has been around for many years. The food is excellent. They have a large menu. The ribs were amazing. Customer service was excellent and waitstaff was very attentive. I enjoyed my dinning experience. I only hope that they stay open later. I am surprised by how early they close."
