"Top notch on the dach of the terrace on the 221 main is dachrestaurant on the main street in st. joseph. 221 main restaurant cocktail house is a separate restaurant on the floor level of the same family. the terrace menu is divided on “small plates”, typical of. we shared seven different dishes, and this is part of the experience. to try new things. one of my favorites was the cacio e pepe, literally “cheese and pepper”. the chef creates a nest with spaghettini pasta, which is paved with black pfeffer. the nest crawls with an egg yolk and the dish is shaken with fresh Parmesan cheese. as instructed, we broke the egg yolk and mixed all ingredients together. such simple ingredients create a rich delicacies. another plate presented grilled otopus swimming in white bon hummus and za’atar season, which is a mix of near-east cutters. octopus, which I had in the past, was very gumy, but that was tender, but remained firm. the grilled meat and the savory hummus play nicely together. the presentation of each plate is excellent. I felt like I was photographing at a beautiful art exhibition. no one was as breathtaking as the court with lobster as medium, it was almost too nice to eat. the lobster meat was extracted and combined with cocos,- limes,- zilantro,- paprika,- radishes and kumquat slices. it tasted as if the lobster ran naked through a garden and a hain and collected fresh aromen before he jumped back in his bowl. it was so fresh, and that look and taste were both breathtaking. the terrace has a multi-stage dining room that is upscale and yet comfortable. large glass walls show the outside seating area, which is open in season. the roof deck is anchored by a beautiful eckkamin that surrounds the ambiente year. its bar is equipped with the largest selection of whiskeys in the southwest of michigan. her wine selection consists of highly valued weeping from all over the world. the menu consists of “Starters” at $8, “small plates” from 10-$16 and “Entrées” from 13-$31. I was surprised to see a hamburger on the menu until I tasted it. the double beef burger pays hommage to the classic almost food burger. the crowning glory of this burger is the “comeback sauce”. this sauce, similar to a Louisiana remoulade, will want to return any Burger fan. the last escape we shared was scallops and pork belly that rests in a creamy pad of flower charcoal and natural jus. both the scallops and the pig bell were so delicate and perfectly prepared. I really enjoyed the carb-friendly flower charcoal. if in st. joseph michigan, that must be one of their holdings."

"Here came for my wife's birthday dinner. She had smeared pitch and shrimp with garlic butter potatoes. And I had Stroganoff with creamy wine sauce, mushrooms and steak tips that melt in the mouth and as always adult drinks. If you are lucky to have Alex for your server, you will not be disappointed."
