"Absolutely bizarre...made a reservation online a month before our visit and was put on the wait list . Asked after we checked in and they said there is no wait list the website is faulty and the restaurant is closed. They will be getting a new chef and a new concept. Very odd since the hotel website still refers to the restaurant as existing."

"Dead center, excellent outdoor seating area protected from wind, we enjoyed and the conversation was running. Excellent friendly service, cake coffee ice cream and a little something to eat all very good standard. The best coffee shop according to definition. Recommended!"

"Right in front of the port and next to the open market is this glazed, walled seafood restaurant. The view is spectacular as you can see the beautiful colored houses of Bergen. The ambience within is also really beautiful. It's always full. The seafood is fresh and there is a good choice of crabs. King Krabbe is her specialty. Hummer and shrimp."

"The best place u should visit once during the trip. fine diner and lunch also reasonable price aromen. best view for looking for home postcards. cable was not cheap, but u can take 1333 step instead. make sure that u 3-4 hours do nothing easy sitting."

"Our group wanted a light meal, so decided to taste this caffeine instead of the restaurant near. it did not seem as if the caffeine was able to cope with the number of tourists visiting the opposite, although it was perhaps anomaly due to the unexpected beautiful weather. it was about 14 o'clock when we came to the waiting line. I had a look at the front and saw some very naked display cases with just a few sweet bags remaining. I noticed that a coworker together made a few sandwiches so we decided to keep quiet. it seemed as if we had come exactly the right time and could sneak two of the sandwiches that were quite expensive because they essentially sink and eat. Unfortunately for sil and her partner, who came to the waiting queue about 10 minutes later, the sandwiches were sold as the baked."

"I was in Bergen for two and a half weeks last summer for an academic conference and art exhibition (and because my Norwegian side of the family only came to the U.S.–where I currently reside–from Bergen only a few generations ago and I very much so wanted to experience that place). Kinsarvik made me immeasurably happy. ! After a week of moving around and eating whatever, and doing a ton of walking and traveling (and adjusting to the time difference), I had access to a kitchen and then found THIS place...after spotting signs featuring økologisk and making a quick skip down several blocks. There is so much packed into this small, beautiful space. BUT MOSTLY: there is a massive open faced cooler of vegan meats and related (cheese-esque) alternatives. The actual meats are far away in a small floor cooler in the back. This discrepancy is not typical in my experience and caused great joy; I may have literally laughed out loud in the store. Though not strictly vegan, I am strictly vegetarian and do not eat fisk...which understandably baffles everyone in Western Norway. Long-story-short, in my excitement to use a gas stove and cast iron in a small, old, Norwegian kitchen plus the extensive array of never-before-seen brands of small vegan sausages and salami-style slices...I spent pert near 500 NOK on said delicacies. Some focaccia from Godt Brød. Best $60 I've ever spent."
