Gran cazuela de mejillones con sus patatas fritas como es tradicional en la zona y a elegir entre vatias maneras de prepararlos.Muy recomendable el Pollo a lo Tahiti, con salsa de coco, almendras y jenjibre, lo sirven con guarnición de arroz basmati y dos salsas de verduras y zanahoria, y además una croqueta de crema de zanahoria y un minirollito de primavera.Uno de los comensales tardó y le retiraron el plato a la cocina por iniciativa propia para que no se le quedara frío, eso y que te pongan el pan gratis y sin pedirlo les hace ganar puntos"

"We were well received. concerning the ordered dishes, we were surprised by the food associations, for example: salad composed with goat in sheeted combined with a scalope of duck liver, bizarre... hearts of whole ducks cooked in the cool cream, really strange ...it’s good to be ambitious but you have to keep the mastery of the associations. fries are not fries but all soft. On the other hand, the fruity tiramisu is delicious..."

"Great little snack with à few Healthy options on the menu. Local beers and ice cream, smoothies and paella on sundays. If you are lucky there will be à band playing a sundowner set. Really cool decor with a South African thème. Clean yet rootsy vibe way better than one would expect from a summer beach snack bar. It is really a restaurant where you can take your shirt off."

"We ate here three times on a 5 day holiday. The restaurant is laid back, friendly, efficient, happy, relaxing and seems to suit all moods and situations. Rough weather? Roll down the awnings or retreat inside and turn up the heaters. Blisteringly hot? shelter under the umbrellas or go deeper inside for a few degrees more coolth. Rainy? Stay outside under the brollies etc etc Our three suppers (plus an aperitif before one meal) were all 'just right '. It 's very difficult to tear yourself away, once you get settled in. Friendly and smiling service from the family team. Delicious pizzas or exquisitely grilled hake (or whatever the fish of the day is), there 's plenty of mouth watering choice. Muscles, prawns, sole, hake, squid. All tender and fresh from the sea only hours previously. We even had a chat and laugh with a couple of fishermen trawlermen, who may even have caught our supper that same morning! Easy walk to or from the sea front, or a few minutes via the Hossegoor ferry route across the harbour. If you have any room left, you can always try a waddle up to the sea front to munch on some fresh hot churros. I rather fancied the pistachio and coconut 'deux boules ' ice cream. Bye bye waistline! For us, la Calypso summed up Capbreton very nicely and tastily."

"There was a sticker at the door that said it was recommended by the Guide Michelin. That was the reason, why we decided to have our last holiday dinner there. Mistake. The food was very disappointing especially considering the steep prices! The service, however, was great the only reason why the evening was not a complete desaster!"
