"The food is average at best and everything is brought in frozen and reheated so there's little (if anything) fresh on the menu. The prices are slightly high compared to similar quality of food restaurants. The pizza's are often underdone and the crust gummy. On the plus side, the kids meals are probably the best deals and they often have charity promotions where you will get discounted items, so BP is definitely more attractive as a family friendly restaurant, which is welcome given the lack of dining options in Terrace.BP fares a bit better in the social category as they seem to put more effort into their Bar/lounge side where you can watch sports events on the big screen while having a beer. Their wings and some of the appies are the better choices on the menu, whereas their entrees are all consistently underwhelming. If you do want something hearty though, go for a baked pasta."

"The DQ here is consistent with most other DQ's for food. When we were there the staff was quite friendly and the restaurant was clean (we ate in the restaurant)."

"Anyone who knows me, or follows me on here, is aware of the fact that when it comes to fast-food, I’m usually a fan of A&W. Each and every time I’ve visited them, regardless of town or city, they’ve delivered a consistently good meal, be...it breakfast, lunch or even dinner. After all, this chain prides itself on serving proteins raised without the use of steroids or antibiotics – “just pure beef” or chicken breast.” It naturally follows, then, that the quality of the food should be pretty high, at least as far as fast-food is concerned. Unfortunately, that wasn’t entirely my experience at A&W’s Kitimat location. I don’t know; something just seemed off. To be clear, I certainly don’t think this A&W is atrocious in terms of food or customer service as most of these earlier reviews would have you believe. Quite the opposite, in fact. But let’s start with the premises: far from having “garbage on every table except one,” the restaurant was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The interiors were bright (maybe recently renovated and inviting. It was pretty quiet during my sojourn – just two other patrons – so service was quick and prompt. It definitely wasn’t “sub par” or “bad;” rather, the young people working in the establishment were friendly. Granted, they weren’t what I’d call engaging or chatty, but I wouldn’t expect that in a place like A&W. For me, things started to go downhill when it came to the food. I ordered a chicken buddy burger, fries and a root beer in a frosty mug. During this repast the root beer was clearly the highlight; I mean, it’s pretty hard to mess up pouring root beer into a frosty mug (Mmm . . . smooth, creamy goodness But my fries, while having a nice crispy exterior and soft interior, were ruined by the over-abundance of seasoning salt. They were just so salty that they were practically inedible. Similarly, my chicken chubby burger failed to impress this time around. I was almost tempted to echo the words of Clara Peller of “where’s the beef?” fame and say “where’s the chicken?” The chicken was so flat that it was essentially hidden inside the (small) bun. As a result, the chicken burger was really lacking in the flavour department. Indeed, the wheat crumbs and spices that are supposed to adorn the burger may was well have been MIA this time around. FOOD: SERVICE: VALUE: RECOMMENDATION: The restaurant is clean and the staff were friendly and efficient enough; however, the food was lacking for an A&W, so I’d rate this place as average overall – it’s more like a star eatery, but TripAdvisor doesn’t allow for half-star ratings.
