"Disappointed that the restaurant we had wanted to try, La Calade, is closed in August, we tried La Reserve on a tip. Its nothing special. I agree with another review that it is fine for: a salad, pasta, beef carpaccio, ice cream and/or a coffee. Thats almost the whole menu btw. Nothing memorable. Service was fine."

"Don’t be fooled by the 2 OLD Out DATED, Michelin Star stickers on the window..This is not a Michelin star restaurant anymore.. and not even close.The ambiance is great! – Even sexy. They learned from when they were a Michelin Star restaurant 5 years ago... And the Staff is very nice and attentive. They’ve also got some rather creative dishes, which dont come together. Five of us in our party, only the lamb was good.. In fact it was very good. Which brings our experience up from a 2 to a 3.. Everything else, was largely tasteless.We should have known by the fact there was only 3 other sucker guests in the place. Every other restaurant in Lourmarin is packed and for good reason… So glad we had time to eat at the other restaurants in Lourmarin…"

"Passing through the area, we are arrested in Lourmarin with friends, pretty little Provencal village. We ate in the Urmeau, very good reception and service, very beautiful dishes, very good cocktails and especially excellent cuisine! We all recommend this restaurant to all visitors to this small village or to the region. Thanks again!"

"Despite all of the negative reviews since the sale of Le Moulin de Lourmarin, we decided to give it a try. We have eaten at this restaurant for years, and stayed in the hotel, all with the best of memories. Unfortunately, all of the negative reviews are accurate. The food was quite frankly terrible--bland, cold, over-salted and small portions. The squash starter was undercooked and cold. My husband ate a few bites of his dish and opted to stop. The staff were kind, though undertrained (did not refill wine, or water). The black hoodie sweatshirts they wore had no place in an establishment that wants to be known as a fine-dining restaurant. In summary, the food was poor, the ambiance was terrible (overheated, inappropriate music) and all was overpriced. As residents of the village, we eat out often. There are many wonderful places, all with excellent food, ambiance and staff. Until Le Moulin has an entirely new focus, including winning back very loyal patrons, we will not return."
