"Best ice, because on the Rhine to Freiburg I would lean so far out of the window and say best ice all over the federal state! The conditions are very friendly and accommodating. "Price is very cheap & you get to taste fresh grilled meat & seafood, starters, main course & dessert.Letdowns: dumplings and sushi wasnt good, too many fried starters which tasted almost the same.Good side: Price worthy, fresh seafood and meat, fried banana and ice cream is a simple delicious authentic asian dessert to end a simple dinner. The grilled chef was very helpful in explaining how it works. Complimentary simple wine at the end.Bottom line: I recommend this for NON-asian who wants to get a taste of the cuisene. All foods are safe for the picky eaters & sensitive tummys but for me being asian, I will not try the buffet again and maybe come back for alla carte instead."

"After searching for good affordable Chinese food since moving to Basel 3 weeks ago, we finally found it here. We went there for the first time last week and the large restaurant with outdoor terrace is located by the river with playground close by. It was quite crowded. The variety of food on their buffet was satisfying all you can eat from shrimp, beef, chicken, duck, noodle, rice, salad, sushi, different veggie, curry, soup, fruits, ice cream, and gummy bears. Cost 18 chf for adult dinner and 7 or 10 chf for my 7 year old son. You can also opt to order from the menu which half of the patrons were doing and I see the price for an entree is 10 chf cheaper than Basel. The service was a bit slow due to the crowd and my 25cl water tasted a bit weird too."

"Thank goodness this is a good-value restaurant because there's nowhere else to eat when you're visiting Vitra. Both times I've been, it's been warm enough to eat outside. There's a set lunch, a dish of the day or an à la carte menu to choose from and everything I've had has been tasty and good value. It just makes a visit here even better."
