"The food was a kind of gland and it lacked any sensible season. The steak I got was not medium rare but barely cooked, and even after returning was rare and the quality was not indicative for the $58 price. The meat was hard and tasteless. The mashed potatoes contained too much cream and gave no taste in addition to the strong milk consistency The dessert was underwhelming and unoriginal. I also found the lack of green salad choices a little strange. I was often in Paris and was never in any restaurant without a salad. Gabarinos owned by the same person below is a solid 4-star Italian restaurant that has never disappointed. I will not return to Twisted Frenchman...Paris 66 Bistro is much better for authentic French cuisine. For the $200 we spent, I would have got a much better meal at Altius, Hyde Park or Capital Grill."

"Really nice casual neighborhood place with good food. I pick up delivery orders here pretty often. Bartender always has a handle on everything. My customers are always happy. People loafing at the bar are always relaxed and happy. One day, I'll stop in here and just be a customer. Send like a real chill spot. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Despite living so close to this place for a couple of years, I somehow wasn?t motivated to try it out until yesterday when my mom was craving Thai at 9pm. This seemed open at that hour and we walked in. It really is a lot nicer inside than it seems from the outside. We were promptly seated and ordered their vegetarian appetizer sampler to start with the papaya salad. Both were pretty good. The eggplant crisps are definitely recommended. Their menu is full of vegetarian options and nearly all their dishes can be made vegetarian! Yay! We ordered the green curry with vegetables for our main course and the Thai-basil fried rice. Their serving sizes are quite large and we ended up taking a lot of food home. I did think that a lot of their sauces, dips and even the curry tended towards the sweeter side..tasty though. I?m not sure if that was because we emphasized ?no spicy at all? or if that?s how it is. I?m definitely going back and checking out more items on their menu. Curry fried rice for one caught my eye! Also, don?t miss their lemon ginger tea. It was the most soothing end to a great hearty meal on a cold night."

"I visited this place last 3 years ago. I should have posted a review then, but today my Facebook memories reminded me of this visit. At the time, I was pregnant with my 3 year old and my husband and I had decided to stop for breakfast before we visited the maternity unit at West Penn. I will never forget this breakfast. It tasted like real home cooked. Like something I remember from when I was growing up. A taste and a place that is true Pittsburgh. Will definitely return soon"
