"If you're looking for a restaurant in downtown Baton Rouge that has a lot of character and tons of history, look no further than Poor Boy Lloyd's. This place serves everything you expect from a South Louisiana restaurant: red beans and rice, poboys, fried seafood, salads, cold beer, etc. It's definitely a local sorta eatery which is great. I had the fully dressed roast beef poboy today which is my own personal gold standard by which I measure Louisiana seafood/sandwich shops. No matter how hard I try, I have never found a dressed roast beef poboy that can supplant the one I used to always eat from Marchand's (from my childhood days . This one was squarely in the middle of the ones I've ever eaten hence the three star rating. Their fried onion rings were pretty good tho as was the sauce that comes with them. Oh, almost forgot, there are lots of interesting things on the walls that occupy your time while waiting for the food. Try them out! You will very likely enjoy this place if fried food and sandwiches are your thing! : I may revise my rating and write up after my next visit depending on what I order and what I think about it."

"I loved coming here with my daughter because I loved the Gumbo and my daughter loves the Jambalaya. Until tonight I came and heard that the kitchen staff had mocked my daughter for their behavior, because she is autistic. She was so excited to be there that she ran into circles and cheated in the empty restaurant. We will not return."

"I don't know how to feel about the lakehouse! the venue is beautiful, but it is a shame that the administration is not the best. our high time felt so eager that I don't get all my pictures! our left over eating that we paid was thrown away (what was a lot of eating) instead as promised. I literally have only one spoon of eating after I paid so much! the brautjungfer and some guests were treated rudely and I was just so hurt by our treatment. I have not put my candles into the ground, the dj has not been offered, even if there was enough and I have a whole weeking so high-time gifts that the hospitable does not get because they have not seen them! nothing I asked during the rehearsal we have day by day! we have never picked up our signature drink and we were literally treated as if we had no role! Nevertheless, our time was beautiful, but it could have been much better. even the server were unfriendly. I'm not one who complains. I am in the regular one to go with the flow person so that I trust to speak what I say! our goal was to have a romantic intimate high time and thank God that we could have that, but the service was not on the spot. I was so embarrassing and unhappy with the service that we now plan a reception for our a year jubilee so that the guest who participated in our high time can actually have a good time. we owe them that and I feel that I need a do over! Maybe if they use this place for an event, then book it all day and that may be different or maybe certain people get a certain treatment. as far as we are concerned, this was so urgent and filled up at the very time. we have made the best of a terrible situation. maybe next timeresponse: listen honey I don't know who's trying to impress her, but I don't have a reason to lie. please talk to the one they need to talk to because I also have copies of contracts. I also have a tonne guests who can testify to what I mentioned and they were not fully paid! the financial constraints were that we did not want to go over the budget and pay another prey for unnecessary things! after the contract they should deliver decor and they wrote and said that they kerzen from a previous event that they do not need for. we have also paid for beer that we have never received and that costs us 800 dollars! how would they know that the number was over when nobody stood at the door and welcomed guests as promised!? I personally had my man go and ask the dj if he had eaten what he had not, and it was the groom that fixed him a meal. When I asked to get our drink, they said we would do it with the rehearsal and then they weren't even there! I don't do it on my head, nor do I get a personal win! what I do is to help someone who might need a head before they make a mistake. by the way, as I have already said, despite the dinge we do not get, it still turned out beautiful. it's just a pity that we paid for dinge that we didn't get! I have embraced you because it was my day of high school, I am a bigger person and I have not felt like crying on my day of high school! but yes, listen, we was wasting a lot of money to get her place."

"I always like to give all vegan restaurants 5 star reviews so this 3 star review is saying a lot. First, the plate was not worth $17. The food was decent but the portions are not worth that much. Second, the platter let’s you pick 4 options out of I think 7 items. I ordered jambalaya, dirty rice, beans and greens but when I opened my food I realized that the jambalaya was a rice dish, as was the dirty rice obviously and the beans had rice in them. I wish the person I ordered from had told me how much rice I was ordering. Lastly, they have a large nice outdoor patio but they don’t allow dogs. I have never heard of an outdoor patio that doesn’t allow dogs. Plus, I was the only one at the restaurant. Would not recommend this place."

"Nice little shop. The Cajun pasta was great. The jambalaya was a little dry for my liking and the rolls were just store bought not cooked. The price was a little high for plastic plates and a small helping. A cool place if you've never been. Staff and owner was nice."
