"I have never put a bite of food in my mouth at Treebeards that I didn’t savor. I love this restaurant. I wish there were one closer to my house."

"Great historic feeling space with nod to European Pub feel. Super kind service. Pizza is pretty good. Crust could be better, pizza could be bigger. Altogether a great visit. Lots of bugs did interrupt our dinner."

"Summed up- overpriced and not very good. I am overall dissapointed in my meal . I ordered the bourbon street special. This included 10 wings and fries (no drink) for an overall total of $17.20 which I found a bit outrageous to begin with. But still wanted to give them a shot. I ordered 5 original hot and 5 Jamaican jerk bone in wings. The chicken had very little meat and was quite chewy. The flavors were nothing beyond average. Ive had plenty of wings from other places with much better.. I was offered seasoning on fries which I took. The fries were not very good at all. The seasoning was very salty and nothing special. The fries were stuck together and pretty mushy/ not crispy enough. This meal came with 1 sauce only (extra would be a little over $1). They gave me the sauce in a baggie with 2 slices of celery which I found a it strage. No carrots and just 2 small pieces. ??The customer service was ok. Was told food would be done in 5-10 min and it took a little more than that.. also found it strange that when I asked cashier if I could get ketchup with my meal, she stated that I could get some myself around the corner where they had condiments apparently but she would go ahead and out some in my bag too?? Ultimately.. the celery was the best part. I ended up eating 2 pieces of each flavor and leaving the rest. *Sigh* . Definitely don 't plan on coming back to this place."

"Beautiful family size. My bitter-leaf soup. Slept Egusi. Nice. Nice as made at home quality egusi. Not the usual public restaurant OILY egusi. I noticed that the Egusi is not oily.... just traditional and authentic. Those who do not understand the difference between genuine African quality and restaurant quality may not feel it. That's healthier. We're going back."

"First time here, and I was so surprised on a Sunday everything was great!!! My cashier was super friendly, the menu was detailed which is perfect for a picky person like myself. It took about 15mins to get my food. It wasn?t super hot, but that didn?t matter because the stuffed fish was AMAZING. It was seasoned well. The sauce was creamy and it was just enough. The price was so reasonable. I?m definitely coming back"

"Honestly, I think this place is mediocre and overpriced. We walk into the restaurant. We're greeted by the host/hostess. The lead us to where we are going to be seated. I believe there is utensils at the table or the waiter/waitress gives them to you. My wife ordered a mix drink from the menu which is way to expensive. $15 for a single cup. The starter bread is then given to us by the waiter/waitress. It is wrapped in a white cloth. I thought it was ridiculous that it is presented to us like that. Laughable) I even joked about it a few times to the waiter/waitress. The bread was tough to cut into as if it was stale. The fried calamari fried zucchini is really good! The sauces were a complement with the appetizer. There are 2 sizes. Medium/Large) The one we ordered is medium. I ordered the Mississippi fish shrimp entofee. $23) My dish was reasonably good despite it being a little over seasoned. Plenty of food to. My wife's dish was disappointing to say the least. You pay upwards to $30 plus just to get a bit of salmon and 4 to 5 jumbo shrimp with Spinach. I felt bad that she had to watch me eat because the serving size on her plate was so minimal. For a $104 tab, I rather stay home, BBQ, and drink a beer. Spend way less money and get more bang for your buck. I won't be going back any time soon. Not because of poor service or bad food. The price is to hefty for a lackluster experience."

"The restaurant is located in a little shopping plaza which looks a little sketch at first glance, but I'm giving 5 stars because Amala's joint was the perfect experience. I'm a fan of Nigerian food and have eaten at about 6 different Naija spots in the Houston area, but their service was by far the best. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and tidy everything was. Sanitizer and hand soap at every table and they bring a bowl of water with your meal so you can clean your hands. Also, the dining room didn't smell heavily like food, which was nice since I had somewhere to be afterward. I had Efo with pounded yam and tilapia. Y'all!!! It was soooo good. Perfect level of spice for those that can't handle too much heat, but enough for those of us that really enjoy the kick of peppers. The tilapia was perfectly cooked. A little crisp on the outside, soft flaky fish on the inside. The ladies that took care of us were absolutely sweet. If you're still reading stop and go to Amala's Joint for some bomb food!!"
