"This is the first time I have ordered online for delivery using Skip the Dishes. Lunch was a steak, perfectly grilled and tender with a side baked potato and Ceasar salad with a good portion of croutons and bacon bits. Will definitely be ordering again...from their extensive menu choices."

"Stoneface Dolly's is a very popular breakfast place. The only explanation for that, is that people don't have anywhere else to go. It is at best average, but at above average prices.The extensive breakfast menu is fine, although I have never had a meal there that tasted particularly fresh or memorably good. And it is pricey - eggs Benedict will set you back 16 bucks, plus coffee and juice and taxes. Eggs and toast is around $8. That is a fair price for an excellent breakfast. But this is not an excellent breakfast. And if you come after 8am, you get to wait to pay too much for food that isn't really very good. It's a mystery. But I will say this: the service is good.Perhaps I just went there on a bad day? Nope: I've been there four or five times in the last year, with someone who likes it. My review is based on multiple visits, all as mediocre as the last. If you are visiting Ottawa and want an expensive breakfast, save yourself the trip and eat at your hotel. Otherwise there are other breakfast joints in town, most of them less costly."

"Everything was excellent from service to food. I used to be a regular in the 80s and early 90's and moved to Hamilton. It was always a favourite venue of mine and I was thrilled that it is still there and still awesome."

"I'm a regular at Von's for brunch on Saturdays or Sundays but decided to try dinner there this week. Well I was not disappointed!! The Happy Hour Hor D'Oeuvres were amazing and great prices. Dinner itself was so good!!! You need to try this place when you're in Ottawa!!!"

"Just had dinner there with my hubby. Lovely patio by the water and watched the kayakers and boaters. Other then the friendly service that's all I can say that's good about the canal Ritz. I don't appreciate 1.5 inches of foam on my beer, that's a short pour and a Rip off. The basket of buns that arrived were cold and the dough was spongy and not baked enough, we couldn't eat them, and neither were other diners I noticed. I ordered the Caesar salad, lightly tossed with some extra dressing on the side, and lemon slices. The salad was ok, the chicken on top adequate, but even with extra salt and pepper and the lemon, I could not detect any real flavour from the dressing, bland!! Definately from a big plastic jug, not home made. Hubby had the pasta special, when I asked him how it was, he would just smile and say, "nice view" and wink. I realise it's coasting by on attracting tourists and relying on its beautiful location, but, seriously, there are much better options around for a good meal. If you're a tourist, I suggest a walk along the canal, sit on one of the many benches to enjoy the view, then go for a meal elsewhere. Sorry ritz, never going back."

"Only been here once but would definitely go again! Had the lamb burger with a salad. Very tasty, juicy burger. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Looking forward to going back"

"The meal and service were excellent. BUT their prices for a glass of wine are ridiculous. I was in shock today -- no other restaurant in Ottawa (even the most expensive) ever charged $19.00 for a glass of pino grigio. I am a retired senior on a fixed pension ... not in a gazillion years have I or ever would have paid such a ridiculous price -- because of that I will never go back again.VERY UPSETTING."
