"Verve is a specialty coffee roaster from California. They also have five shops in Japan: three in Tokyo and two in Kamakura. The one is central Kamakura is modern, spacious and inviting. When we visited, six of their roasts were available for pour-over, five of them single origins. You can even try them before you order. I found the flavor differences rather subtle; all of them tasted slightly overextracted and had a somewhat bitter, dry finish. The washed Kenyan I eventually went for was nonetheless a pleasant cup. They also have teas, cold brew and espresso-based drinks (e.g. cappuccino, rosemary honey latte, espresso tonic . The food menu comprises sandwiches, waffles, cakes and more. We had the grilled cheese and red hot tuna sandwiches—both were great! (We would have liked to try the pastrami avocado sandwich, but they had run out of it."

"Date visited: April 2023 For cholocate lovers, this cafe is a must visit on your list. I had a Chocolate Latte, it's rich and delicious, with Mini Babka Framboise which is really good. I also tried the Frozen Chocolate. The shop is very close to Kamakura station. The staff speaks English and very accomodating. Apparently the shop was a bank before, that's why there is a legit volt door that made it work with the theme of the shop, which makes it more interesting and unique. Will definitely visit again."

"You need to book at least 2 days before, but it's worth it. The food is prepared by a beautiful lady who is very interested in natural foods and grows most food she uses in her dishes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious!"

"I had the vegan hemp pancake burger. To be honest, I did not know what to expect with this combination (pancake burger?! but it was heavenly! The location is right at the beach overlooking the sea. Unfortunately the street can get quite noisy but it still has a nice vibe. I don’t know why there are two listing for this venue (one vegan and one veggie-friendly on happy cow but when we went they definitely had non-vegan items on the menu. Would definitely recommend it for a nice lunch close to the beach."
