"We tried this restaurant because, for some reason, it's suddenly impossible to find masala dosa anywhere, and this place has it. I like to give places a chance. I've also eaten Indian food my whole life and never had horrible Indian food, no matter how whole in the wall a place is. This place is a hole in the wall, and not in the prettiest of neighborhoods, but some of the best food comes from such places. Not from this one, though. Sadly, the masala dosa (a supposedly paper thin rolled crispy lentil pancake filled with curried potatoes was the furthest away from that dish that one could imagine. The pancake was thick, doughy, and greasy; the filling mushy, bland and sparse. The other food we ordered was bizarre, bland, and swimming in grease. I'm never seen anything like it. I don't understand how hard is it to cook authentic recipes. If a restaurant has bad reviews, why not hire an experienced chef to teach them how to make these dishes? There doesn't seem to be any desire on this restaurant's part to make changes. I was left utterly confused. How has this place even stayed opened?"
