"I am so in love with this place I am writing reviews everywhere to tell people about it. I started off ordering in to my work for lunch from Skip the Dishes. I then began to go directly to the source. Located in not-the-greatest-area on 101 St. in Edmonton, you will immediately forget all about that once you step inside. It is a warm and cozy little patisserie-type place where goodies literally abound. I used to be addicted to their delicious eggs Benedict served with salad until today. Today, I had their lunch combo for $17.95 and had the scrambled eggs with turkey and chicken bacon on a croissant. This came as well with a salad, a drink and dessert. I have found a new addiction *drool*. It was divine! I am so in love with this place and think it is the best restaurant in all of Edmonton. I will be buying my airplane meal from them and taking gifts to my family in Toronto as well as trying not to return on a daily basis for lunch. Oh well, see you tomorrow M&G!"

"Tonight for the first time on Valentine's Day. great experience. the ambiente was perfect, the live entertainment was the perfect loudness not loud enough to interrupt the conversation, but only enough to be in the background. the staff was extraordinary and the food was delicious. will definitely go back!"

"We come here quite frequently. As of late the service and meal quality has gone downhill and as a result I am compelled to write you guys about it. Today was by far the worst experience EVER!!!! The server was basically non existent. We ordered...our meal and 30 minutes later she finally came back to the table saying a steak was over cooked so they held all of our orders until the new steak was ready instead of bringing out some of the appetizers (that I would assume were ready) to let the table get started. When they finally came the portions seem to have all gotten smaller and the 33$ steak and lobster ravioli was 4 ravioli and about a 4 ounce gristle ridden steak that was barely even warm or chewable for that matter. One of the burgers my eldest son ordered was half raw. The chicken lettuce wraps came with 4 tiny pieces of chicken in a bowl that was so drenched in sauce that it was closer to a soup than a filler for a wrap. Both salads were both drenched in dressing as well- they’re salads not soup. At this point we were piling our own dishes on the table without anyone even coming to refill our waters never mind asking us about our meals. Finally one of your managers was trying to help but then we were sent another manager who wasn’t even aware of the situation. Then the first manager then came back with a gift card and said the bill would be brought to the table. We waited over 15 minutes until I had to go find her and ask for the bill which she said should’ve been brought to us already by the server. While all is this was going on my son felt ill from the half cooked burger he had eaten and had to go to the washroom to throw up. This was a birthday dinner for my youngest son and the first time my parents had ever been to this restaurant. Disappointed would be an understatement. Honestly appalled with both the service and the meal quality and although we used to come here quite frequently in the past I don’t see us returning any time soon. As of 7 pm my eldest son is still puking, my younger son is extremely upset and embarrassed because he feels everyone’s night was ruined because he picked this spot to come to. Regards."

"I have had some great service at this location and some less then pleasant service. This visit we had higher level service which was nice since I brought out of town family here to show off some Barbeque. The food came out fast and were plowing through it in no time. There were four of us and we shared there smallest platter, which is recommended for 4, with all the meats; roast chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket, pork sausage, ribs and riblets. It also comes with corn bread, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, BBQ sauce and fries. We were able to finish the whole platter and was the best value for a group our size since we had such different taste buds. Not everybody tried everything since others appreciated it more. The coleslaw and potato salad are small so if you are getting a platter to go I suggest ordering some extra if you like more sides than meat. This restaurant requires you to order at the front counter, pay ahead, and then sit down. If you find it odd to leave a tip at the time of purchase, before you have even eaten, then maybe bring some cash to leave at the table."
