"The winery “Zum Rebstock” is hidden in a backyard in Dresden-Neustadt, so we only accidentally discovered it during our tour through Dresden. But because of its quiet location, overlooking a lovingly landscaped herbal garden, and this in the middle of the Dresdner Center, as well as the charming establishment of the winery, we stayed there for dinner. The Winzerstube offers in particular regional, Saxon Potato Soup, Saxon Cattle Shops and Dresden Quarkkeulchen. In the menu it is emphasized that all foods are homemade, and e.g. the carving is not ready to be bought, but is homemade. It was pretty promising. After a look into the menu that brought us ruck-zuck from the boss, I chose a Riesling cheese soup and a scavenger with asparagus, Hollandaise and parsley potatoes. For me, the menu has the optimal size: two soups, four meat dishes, two fish dishes and two vegetarian noodle dishes – but for everyone something so close that the promise “all home” is credible. However, and I react somewhat allergic to it, it is pointed out that reorders in the supplements are calculated at an additional cost of € 1.00 per supplement. This can be acceptable for fast food restaurants (which I have never visited anyway), but from a customer-oriented restaurant I expect that roast potatoes must be there for a surcharge instead of butter potatoes. Finally, a satisfied customer comes back, whose wishes are no “but this costs an extra charge”. As expected from a wine bar, the vineyard offers an extensive wine map. In addition to a wide selection of Saxon wines, especially from the Meißen and Sörnewitz area, there are also wines from the Nahe, the Palat and Rhinehessen on the map. Foreign wines are in the undernumber. But back to dinner. After a pleasantly short waiting period, the Riesling cheese soup was brought along. She had it in her! An intensely powerful cheese taste and a neat shot of Riesling in it. Great! Shortly afterwards our main dishes came. I took away the carving that it “home-panned” as promised. Gold brown roast, the scavenger tender and juicy, the asparagus cooked quite long, a wonderful sauce Hollandaise with it – with a word, completely perfect! My companions had opted for the Saxon cattle harvest and were also fully satisfied. At the prices: Schnitzel with asparagus and parsley potatoes: 14,90 EUR, Riesling cheese soup: 4,90 EUR, bovine rug; EUR 14,90. One more word to the premises: Winzerstube “Zum Rebstock” is a rather small place and offers for estimated approx. 40 people and then close to the very small tables. However, one notices that it was decorated and decorated by operators with a lot of love. The room is kept in warm earth tones, and you sit on rustic wooden chairs. In beautiful weather there is also a person outdoors in front of the economy. Conclusion: a lovingly furnished restaurant in the middle of Dresden. Predominantly local dishes of very good quality and at pleasant prices. When leaving the restaurant, the chef ran over the way and we took the chance to change a few words with him. A young, dedicated man to note that he is with fun and ambition."
