"Ordered online, waited over an hour and a half. Rang to ask where it was at and they claimed not having received it. Then got a text message asking if I'd enjoyed it! Rang up and they said they had just received my order. Yet it arrived within 5 minutes lukewarm and burned. Poor poor service. Used to go a lot but not anymore."

"Visited this pub with my husband and found the food delicious hot(which is quite rare these days) the atmosphere was warm and welcoming,lovely clean throughout.We had the fish n chips which was cooked perfectly,batter was nice n crunchy.Chips were homemade very tasty,peas...were spot on! Had a brief chat to the new owner(Wendy I believe) found her to be very friendly,genuinely interested in how we found the food served to us that day.Excellant customer care.Will deffo be going back. Thanks Wendy"

"Some people had recommended this pub, so I decided to give him another attempt despite the unpleasant meal described in one of my earlier views. this forgiveness did not change my mind. in the future, the employees could not even recognize us and pass on several times to ask us what we wanted. the menus have been damaged, stained and torn laminated paper panels that were not wiped after previous customers. as it was a Sunday, I ordered the roast beef and me and my friend were looking forward to a pub meal after a day in the lakes. the “Roast-Rind” arrived and looked like a teller dog food that also tasted it. After we overheard the employees who make unfriendly comments to other customers, we felt restless about making a complaint as their service was far away from friendly. Moreover, the woman behind the bar had sat her children on a bar table and cried from the other side of the restaurant before she placed on her phone according to a takeaway order from the local kebab shop. to say that neither I nor my friend will return."

"The garlic bread and cheese was nice,nothing special. Doner meat was greasy like a lot of places and the chicken wrap was average if anything too much wrap. Generally is was neither spectacular or too disappointing. There are better takeaways around."
