"A lovely day and a lovely Lunch, went with Family, we had 3 different main courses, the ramen, quiche and Lasagna, followed by 2 Lemon Tarts and a couple of scoops of ice-cream, a couple of pints and 2 other drinks with a tip and the total was £90. The Staff were attentive without being obtrusive and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant, and the added attraction of the Shropshire Bedlams Martha Rhodens Tuppeny Dish Morris dancing team celebrating Midsummer Rejoicing. All in all a very nice expereince."

"We stopped here by chance on a long-journey because we needed a break. Simple, straightforward Farmhouse baking with excellent quality and value. Just had a cuppa and some cake, but it was great home-baked childhood-nostalgia-inducing cake. Wish we could have lingered longer."

"Had a fantastic lunch on Saturday Afternoon waited for the fish to be cooked, but well worth a few minutes of anyone's time, Fish Chips with a side of Curry Sauce, the Fish was cooked to perfection, good portion size and the chips were top notch as well"

"Booked a table for our 16th anniversary.. 14/7/2017) wife had crab cake starter, I had baked mushrooms, lovely- hot fresh starter, I had the seabass Main with truffle infused fries, wife had king prawn risotto, then I had honey comb cheesecake, wife had pana cottas and we had coffees to finish. Waiters were attentive, the Soave wine was lovely. Had a gr8 time, definitely be back all the way from north east of Scotland- Steve Shell Campbell)"

"Having made our plant purchases we had intended to have tea and cake, but we were wooed by the lunch menu and had a panini him and a mushroom and blue cheese toastie me with a portion of sweet potato chips to share, we had a lovely sunny window table and the food was well presented, and very yummy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed it, and had a sunny walk around the display garden afterwards too.Cannot go too often because of the danger of too many plant purchases from the great adjoining nursery ! but we will return soon as the cakes looked good too."

"For the last 7 years we have been visiting The Bell at Tong every other month to eat with family on a Sunday. Over that time we have seen many changes. However, at our recent visit there was a noticeable change. The atmosphere and friendly service was was the first thing we noticed. The staff were engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. We were a party of 10 and we know from experience that serving everyone promptly can be a challenge. However, all the meal looked and tasted great. My 8oz steak was the best I’ve eaten anywhere in a very long time! Overall the experience was fantastic."
