"The restaurant was cold. I pointed out the waiting staff that most customers wore coats at dinner. That should have given them a signal to turn on the heat. The Queso Fundido was nothing but melted cheese (very stringy) with a little chorizo in it. There were no additional chips. Not easy to eat or very good. The salsa served with all 98% cubed tomatoes, a kind of pico de gallo with tomatoes and small amount of pepper. Mostly in a very stable amount of 2 cylinders that makes very difficult to grip on a chip so 30% falls on the table as you try to scoop."

"Saturday night for dinner. Very cool downtown. The food was excellent and not the usual goopy Mexican food. I had the Red Snapper and my son had the Rock Steak. both were wonderful. We got an additional order from Guac. Sliced cucumbers were unusual and tasty. Service was generally good, but distracted understandably given the fact that the place is busy. She didn't go down to Speakeasy, but if it were with her or friends. Will be back in LA."

"Waitress was nice and on top of the order . I ordered verdas enchiladas with just cheese . Enchiladas were not warm enough , cheese wasn’t full melted . Rice and beans didn’t have flavor to them ."
