"Watch out for another development at the north. It is brought to you by Ayala and they dubbed it Vertis North. Currently the mall is being constructed and is targeted to open by July this year. Seda, a hotel by the same group just opened here and this is the third one after Taguig and Nuvali branches.

Misto is Seda's all day dining, cafe and bar all in one. It means mix, a fitting description since they have three types of concepts in one big, elegant space.

On my recent dining experience here I was the lone customer. I felt bad no one else was feasting with me. The buffet is at Php 1650 nett and they offer ample choices of international favorites including a stretch of Filipino cuisine. Five types of juices including sour, sweet Cranberry juice are also offered unlimited.

When I was here the carving was only Baby Back Ribs. So I requested to their Chef if I could have steak. He went to our table and offered to serve me USDA Rib Eye. It was heavenly. It was... read more"

"The food was great. Serving delicious Pampanga dishes. Service is good also. It should be considering the food was expensive. I loved their salmon and the bibingka"

"Must try their Tokyo Tower if you want a very filling and unique way of eating sushi. Piled up high, a combination of spicy tuna, salmon and kani crab crunch with mango. Don't worry about all the carbs as it's balanced off with a bed of greens and balsamic vinegar reduction. 1 order is good for 2-3 people. Their Matcha Japanese Cheesecake Cream is also good! They are currently offering Sakura Unicorn Milkshakes in Strawberry and Taro. I got a sip of the Taro and it's really good to try - Taro shake with various creams, vanilla soft serve, and chocolate coated ice cream cone with edible sparklers."

"Uncle Cheffy's food is surprisingly good. I once thought this was just one of those restaurants that try too hard to be Italian. It was not. In fact, it had different flavors and offerings that I only tried for the first time here.

For our dinner on Friday evening, we ordered roasted prawns and grapefruit salad, steak and pasta, and panizza.

The roasted shrimp and grapefruit salad started our meal perfectly. It had the right smokiness combined with the freshness of the raw materials. The slightly sweet and sour grapefruit pieces were balanced with the slightly salty dressing.

The steak and pasta is another winner. It will surely satisfy any meat lover's taste buds. Three thick pieces of round steaks sit on penne pasta with red sauce. The steak can be cooked according to your own specifications - moderately rarely to well done. We did ours well, but I would have wanted it to be medium well. It was also tender and lightly flavored although I wish it was ... read more "

"Ordered Miso Ramen, Ponchi Kani and 2 Tamago Sashimis which were all amazing. The price is reasonable and the place had a nice ambience. But I'm big on service, and our orders took a while plus we had to follow it up, twice. I'd come back for the food though."

"Tendon Akimitsu is housed inside Ramen Nagi in Trinoma. It's similar to their NAIA 3 branch. It was named after Chef Akimitsu who conceptualized and made this brand in Tokyo, now in Manila.

Having the opportunity to try good tendons both in Manila and Japan, it's an easy review. Although tendons in Japan tend to have their own version for each restaurant. It doesn't have a standard, but its based on how the chef want it.

The Nami Don was abit bland. It was tempura of mixed seafood like scallops, shrimps, and squid battered and fried. The brushed sauce was salty. Not every piece was coated thus became part salty and bland. The crunch was the usual tempura, but didn't hold the texture even after the coating.

The ebi tempura set consists of prawns, okra, sweet potato, and eggplant. It has the same batter as the tendon bowl, but differ in sauce. For this, the sauce was served separately like any other tempura. I find the sauce on the salty side, not our usual tempura sauce that is sweet, savory salty.

The only highlight for me is the Salmon Auburi. Its basically a maki with vegetables topped with salmon fillets that is torched then slathered with teriyaki sauce and cheese-mayo sauce. It's just an explosion of flavors in my mouth. It's creamy, savory, cheesy maki. It's just as good as it gets.

Unfortunately, most of what we had is on the salty side. It doesn't fit on how I prefer it.

#TheFoodCrawlers #SplatMNL #OngsFoodprints"

"[Review is for Ramen Nagi + Akimitsu Tendon]

Josh visited me after work last Saturday! ???? We decided to have dinner together at SM North or Trinoma, since they are they two malls near my workplace.

We were choosing between Denny's (he absolutely loves breakfast food!) and Ramen Nagi + Akimitsu Tendon (he's been craving for tendon for the longest time already). We finally settled for the latter, but since I am not a fan of fried Japanese food, I planned to have ramen instead (since it was soooo rainy that day!).

When we got there, the place was packed, and we were 8th in the line -- but we waited anyway. We got in after about 30 minutes.

Here's what we got:

SALMON SASHIMI (Php 280)- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
We always order salmon sashimi when dining in a Japanese restaurant -- it's our ultimate favorite! ???? Their salmon was fresh and did not have frozen ice crystals, but did not taste as "sweet" as some of the ones we've eaten at other restaurants before. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed it!

SUMIRE DON (Php 560)- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was Josh's order. He has been craving for tendon for the longest time already, and he finally got to eat it! His order had deep-fried anago eel, prawn, and a piece of okoy-like fried thing, all on top of steaming hot Japanese rice. At first bite, I saw how giddy he was -- it must be good. He let me taste the eel, and it was good! The special sauce they drizzle on top is so yummy. All the seafood were very fresh, and the crisp coating gave each piece a great texture. After a while though, Josh said that the sauce was a bit lacking, and the pieces underneath were a bit dry. He'd love it better if only it had more sauce. ????

CRAB KING (Php 460) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love how Ramen Nagi is constantly experimenting on new ramen flavors. This time around, they have the Crab King -- al dente noodles, their signature tonkotsu broth, and deep fried soft shell crab! ???? It was super good! The soft shell crab was fresh and crisp, though it becomes soggy when it stays in the soup fortoo long so make sure to grab a bite as soon as it is served. The broth had a distinct crabby taste which was very flavorful. I enjoyed and loved every slurp of it! ???????? Go try it while it's still on their menu as this is a Limited King only! ????

Service was fast, despite the huge amount of people in the restaurant. I'm glad how they don't compromise when it comes to their service, because it would be such a waste if they will have good food but mediocre service.

Overall, I loved our Ramen Nagi + Akimitsu Tendon experience last Saturday! Cheers to good food × awesome service × great company. ????????

#EatDrinkSplurge"

"We ordered Ten don (ebi tempura, squid, sweet sauce), Niku Fuji Soba (Beef Ramen) and Salmon Harasu Don (salmon belly, teriyaki sauce topped with japanese mayo).
Rice meal: Big serving; good for sharing
Ebi tempura: Crispy and flavorful, good for sharing
Ramen: Nothing special
Price: Value for money
I’ll come back again to try other meals "

"In a sea of food outlets with precooked dishes that sit out all day, this one makes food fresh, which is why we chose to eat here. They do have a selection of already cooked food in chafing dishes, if you're truly in a hurry. We only waited 15 minutes for our food to arrive.

A P179 bowl of sinigang with salmon belly has four 1-in wide slices of salmon belly, some veggies, and a flavorful soup. While the portion felt small protein-wise, we kept it healthy and just upped our consumption of the broth, which is good for two (about 750ml in the bowl). The friendly attendant suggested adding miso to the broth, which we appreciated.

Good hot broth, fresh-tasting salmon belly, decent rice. In SM North's chaotic food court, food and price here are a good match and worth noting. We're earmarking this place for grilled tuna panga (jaw) and tuna tail (buntot).

My phone died while we were here, hence no photos."

"The food here is delicious. You get what you pay for and the sushi is sulit. They give you a reasonable amount of food. I would definitely recommend this place to people looking for good Japanese food.
"
