"We are new to Bastrop and I wanted to treat my wife for a special evening for her birthday. Piney Creek seemed a logical choice. After you share some delicious crab filled mushrooms with cocktails My wife ordered a caesar salad and a fillet as the main meal. It was made perfect and she loved every bite. I ordered lamb. I replaced asparagus with the mash. It was a wonderful meal. We pushed it a bit with dessert, but Helen must have her cream brûlée. It was excellent. My bread pudding was very delicious, but a little looser than I like it. All in all, Helen loved her birthday dinner and we had a nice evening. Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful and steps our dinner so that we relax and enjoy. The ambience was warm and stylish, but the people were dressed by Fleece to jackets. This is life today. The prices are typical of an upscale restaurant but also the value. It is not a large dining room, so reservations are probably a good idea. Hours are limited, but maybe this will change at some point. I'm sure we're back."

"We got there 10 minutes before opening, they were very friendly and let us in early. Best food we've had yet on the island, I especially recommend the Portuguese clams, uniquely seasoned. Coffee rubbed steak was excellent. Handcrafted cocktails, we had non alcoholic ones. A restaurant with high end food and drinks, non-snobby service, reasonable prices for this kind of place. Wish we lived closer."
