"Its a shame because our overall experience of lunch at Gordleton Mill was really good, the food was delicious, the tables were nicely spaced out and the waitresses helpful and attentive but it was spoilt by the manner and tone of the hostess who greeted us at the door. I had rung to ask if we could arrive early for a drink whilst we looked at the menu and was told no problem the private dining room was being used for drinks. When we arrived I said to the hostess we are a little early as we would like a drink before lunch she was so offhand and short and said only at your table. There was no warmth or interaction with us. It just set a bad tone. The rest of the staff were fabulous and I felt for them as they had a difficult job making up for something that wasn't their fault but that we had experienced."
