"Ordered a takeaway here on Saturday 4th. Appreciate with all restaurants shut they could be busy. Told 60-90 minutes for delivery. at 2 hours 20 minutes decided to phone them. Both lines answer phone storage full. I wonder why. When it did arrive food barely warm. Lamb tikka better described as mutton tikka. Very tough, must have been a real old lamb.Plenty of choice of takeaways in brentwood so this one wont be benefitting from my trade again."

"Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to move my mum’s wake from home to a venue; the problem was I only had a few days to make the arrangements! I contacted several pubs near Bentley Crematorium and Carla responded quickly to advise The Robin could...accommodate us. I visited with my daughter and Carla showed us the area where the wake would be held. She thought of every small detail and was able to accommodate vegans without hesitation. The pricing was clear and good value. The spread was amazing with the tables decorated with beautiful fresh flowers in my mum’s favourite colour. We had a few more people than expected but the food was ample for everyone and I received so many compliments. Some of the guests went into the main bar where the customers were so welcoming and friendly. The bar staff are lovely. This pub did my Mum proud and I really can’t praise them enough. I’d passed this pub so many times but hadn’t been in but we were so impressed we will definitely go again, hopefully under happier circumstances."

"This place is a jewel, I and my wife usually come here for Sunday dinner. something we can recommend. last night we came with some friends, again this place lives up to its standards. Eat as always before place, the personal is welcoming...and friendly. the renter himself ensures that everything is in order. well worth a visit, make sure they book in advance as it is always busy."

"I had a take away flyer through my door for 'jasmins '. There used to be a take away at Harold wood station not far away, I realised it has expanded to a chain, must be doing well, that 's good news. But this flyer said 'has limited seating '. My friend went in to book a table. He told me it wasn 't plush, was basic inside, but was ok and not to expect too much. When we got there last night, he was right about it being basic, it was small. But it did say 'limited seating '. So none of that bothered either of us. There is approx 20-22 covers and you would not be cramped though. The decor is nice but simple. It is clean and bright. The tables/chairs are wooden and brand new. It said on the flyer that they are not licensed to sell alcohol, as their main business is sending out 'takeaways '. However, if you want to you can bring your own alcohol on site. As most people will agree, there is something missing if you can 't have your fav drink with your curry. The manager was very attentive to us, he knew we wanted to go and watch the first 'Brazil ' match over the road at 9pm, and he was quick with the ordering and also suggested certain things off of the menu. He was really friendly and helpful. The food portions were good sized when they came, they were not oozing with oil, they were hot, and absolutely gorgeous in taste, fresh and fragrant. Super food. Would def recommend a sly sit down in there if you want to be some where quiet and have good value for money. We could not finish our meal and he put the naans and left over onion baajis in a takeaway box for us to have later. He suggested coming back another date but giving notice for a special meal that he does, where he spends more time on the food. He has lots of food ideas and people who want to celebrate birthday party 's and stuff are welcome there so long as they give enough notice. We ordered, lamb madras, chicken bhuna, Bombay potatoes, onion baajis, two cokes, pilau rice, plain naan, peshwari naan, I think? It came to approx 24 quid."

"Came here for a meeting in their upstairs room. 1) Came in wasn’t offered a drink or anything. Had to track the waiter down and he could barely understand English. 2) Didn’t bring me any starters and gave it to everyone else. Couldn’t say anything as the main talk had already started. 3) Mains came out and brought me a tiny chicken shish despite me ordering a mixed shish. The waiter said he would get me lamb but it never materialised. 4) Mains were stone cold and dry. Was so fed up that I didn’t stay for dessert. Total disaster and waste of time. DO NOT come here. Spend your money in a better restaurant."
