"On my last day in Chinon I got lost. I finally found my way to the square just after 1pm it started storming. I was starving decided to try this restaurant. I was not dissapointed at all. The food was awesome excellent value for money. Will definitely go there again"

"Rang on the off chance that there would be a table and managed to get one outside. Excellent food: cod, duck, and beef between us for main courses, and all beautifully presented with a variety of individual vegetables - a great contrast to some very "meaty" food that we had elsewhere in the Loire. Great service - quick but not rushed. Superb all round."

"Pleasant location on the Place du Général de Gaulle.Apéro prix raisonnable and indeed the smallest price for the cocktail spritz (7,50 €). Not found cheaper and it was excellent!menu small price (17,90 €)Entered from the menu with excellent stains, just like the presentation, worthy of a great chef!On the other hand, the fish of this same menu was not at the height of the entrance. Despite everything, ate very well on the terrace and served in quite correct times. I recommend."

"Only three choices for starters main and dessert, but just what we needed. Lamb shank slow cooked and fell off the bone. Beautiful. Entree was light and tasty. Nice feel about the place."

"The terrace is very pleasant. We came to eat: the meal is correct: I had taken a peat that was not very tasteful.And the fish was very dry I think it was coming out of the freezer! the wine we had been drinking was excellent and came from the estate couly Dutheil.Also, the dishes were not at the height of the frame."

"Need I say more? Aside from returning to Chinon to spend time touring the Chateau and visiting with our new friends, I especially wanted to feast daily on the excellent selections especially the Brioche at Au Plaisir de Chinon. Great selection of the usual croissants, baguettes, gallettes and gourmet chocolates but the Brioche is in my opinion the best I've ever eaten in the world."
