"As the name would suggest, this is an Indian restaurant and take away. Situated in Ticklemore Street. Probably best used as a takeaway as the restaurant is very small and woefully quiet. We have been the only people in there on most nights we have been.The food is very good though, both eat in and take away. The takeaway has a free delivery service on orders over a particular value, but I can't remember what that value is. You can order take away and sit in the bar and have a drink while you wait for it to be cooked. The downside is there isn't much parking around thereThe restaurant is a more 'typical' Indian restaurant as it it quite dark."

"Vegans are spoilt for clearly marked choice at this cosy restaurant. Standouts were the buttery chana dall and the oily-in-a-good-way aubergine with a turmeric glow and the bite of unusual flat bean seeds. The richness of the latter lent itself to the side dish size serving between two. Although not marked as such, chapatis may be vegan depending on the night (according to the chef's butter whim we were told) so it's worth asking. The chilli heat in some dishes such as the dall can be upped on request too."

"Very busy for a November evening which is great to see. We had to park offsite in a nearby residential area. So good to choose from a menu that includes ethically sourced meats. I chose from the specials board, excited by the offer of venison. The plate included venison steak, veg and suet pudding. The suet pudding was incredible. The venison steak, however, was very tough. Inedible. I was envious of the fish choices my family made and regretted not going with the free range chicken in cider. We live and learn. So sad that the deer died in vain!"

"I used to visit here regularly, but don’t seem to be able to do so anymore without receiving aggressive letters from renegade solicitors requesting hundreds of pounds for alleged parking violations and threatening me with court action. Some of these claims date back to four years ago, for which I am only now receiving tickets. I am in the process of disputing the charges and have contacted Dartington staff about this, but they don’t express any interest in helping or any concern that this firm is bullying so many of their customers out of money (take a glance at the reviews on Google and you’ll see there are money other people with similar tales). It’s sad that this place has become so corporate and money-grabby, and that they have so little regard for their patrons, especially as there used to be a real feeling of community and support for local artists and enterprises here."
