"Yesterday night here. room was nice, but it was too hot. Although we left the windows open all night, it was a bit loud when it was in front. in restaurant and eating was nice. service was brilliant, could not fail. the breakfast was just as good this morning. selection of pastries, pastries, toast, yogurt and cooked breakfast. I couldn't blame at all. will we have gone back?"

"We love the Wooden Spoon!! Visit from Salisbury regularly as it is an ideal half way meet up venue for our family. Often prefer it to many of the options in Salisbury when just us two. Food is always freshly made and always delicious. Gorgeous garden, cosy surroundings and really friendly welcoming hosts! Do not hesitate to recommend this little gem."

"This is a top class experience. Starting off with. drink in the lovely cozy yet large lounge, you read the tasting menu which like many top class restaurants is the only menu on offer. Allergies and preferences dealt with the food starts with lovely canapes...and charcuterie from the local farm. The experience continues with a visit to the kitchen where we received a very nice welcome from the Head Chef Ricki Weston, an obvious asset to the kitchen, and also three more small dishes. Here begins the realisation of the eastern influences in the dishes. Then through to the nice dining room, with three separate rooms. Our only negative was we thought it was a bit bright and a dimmer would help. Each dish was lovely, clam with trout roe, lovely sourdough, chorizo risotto excellent as were the tortellini and the lobster. I was getting a little full as the beef was delivered but my partner cleaned the plate. Then onto desserts that there is always room for, each of them excellent. Service was both good and friendly, just as we like it. This is a top class place with a top class tasting menu from a top class kitchen"

"I wish I had made a picture of our eating and I wished more that there was a bella italia near me, although my tail tells me that there is no just as good. two days ago we had pizzas and all of us were of the opinion that this was the best 'Eat-out 'pizza we've ever had and trusted me, we tried a few today we went for pasta. there were all kinds of posh pasta dishes, but I went down the straight too pollo e funghi and oh my good it was fabulous, thick creamy sauce. with garlic bread and a glass of red to die a dish."
