"It's a place that really works for us! Made a reservation for this Sunday night (today! Thought it might be quiet. Wasn't ! So that was a good start. The food portions were exceptionally generous from my experience and the taste of all dishes we had was excellent. To cap it all the price is good. Could not ask for more..so thank you, especially to Christina who looked after us"

"Fabulous location, lovely ambiance, yummy food but really annoyingly poor service attitude especially the female staff. A little smile and attentiveness wont hurt. The loveliest service attitude is the staff with long hair, headband and wearing the stylish suspenders. Thank you for your cheerful demeanor and taking my cappuccino order."

"The service and atmosphere was lovely. The watermelon and feta starter was great, unfortunately the roast was very tough and my daughter's roast chicken was too dry. The soup she said was delicious. My husband had scampi and fish which he said was delicious. The cheesecake was delicious and the ice-cream portions were found to be very small."

"A great find. We wanted a lunch location between Wokingham and Heathrow and were lucky enough to find The Royal Oak. Given the Michelin star, we were pleasantly surprised the place was not over run; we had a reservation, but it was not necessary. The food was fantastic; between us we had lamb, rock bass and cod, all of which were superb. Portions were just right for lunch and there is a great selection of side dishes if you want more; we had some wonderful roasted carrots. The pub has been sympathetically restored and has a nice ambiance. And as a Brit returning from overseas, a pint of London Pride was very much appreciated! Top marks and we look forward to visiting again the next time we are in the area."
