"I wanted to love this place. What a beautiful restaurant. We were referred by the concierge at our resort when we could not contact another restaurant that was closed for the season. Our dinner started out so well. We had 2 servers who were extremely attentive. We ordered the calamari as our appetizer and my husband ordered a Sicilian Kiss and I got a chocolate martini. They were very generous with the alcohol, so we were feeling good. I was so excited about the Osso Buco I had seen it on their website and it sounded amazing. I don't eat a lot of meat anymore, but since it was served with risotto, I was willing to make an exception. I was about halfway through my dish when I found not one, not 2, but 3 hairs. Short. Dark hairs. We call a server over who quickly apologized and took my plate away. A few minutes later our main server returns with my same plate (minus the hairs) and tells me the hairs were from the cow, not my hair, not the chef's or anyone elses and that my entree would be free. At this point I had lost my appetite and told them to pack up my food. I regret doing that since we were not buying that the hairs came from the veal. It looked like human hair. They were extremely apologetic and even gave us a free crepe dessert. At the end of our meal when my husband asked for the bill is when things started to get weird. Instead of comping my dish, they gave us a 20% discount which roughly is half the price of my entree. What happened to free? If they did not want to comp my dish, they shouldn't have said they would OR they should have at least made another one for me. We ended up paying for a dish that I didn't get to eat. At least my family got to eat all of their food. I left very disappointed and hungry but I lost my appetite anyway. "

"We read the reviews and expected great food...we were incredibly disappointed. This is the only Italian restaurant I have been to that did not have good bread! Not only did we have to ask for it 4 times but when we finally received it, the bread was terrible. We had main courses that were recommended by the staff, chicken and broccoli and lasagne - awful. The fresh made pasta was too al dente and the sauce was all oil, and not the yummy high quality kind. While the view of the sunset couldn't help but be gorgeous because it is ocean front, the ambiance was not improved by the background music. I must say that the Caesar salad was exceptional and the house red wine was pleasant. Sadly there is nothing else about our experience worth repeating. With an abundance of high quality food and service in Vallarta, Guido's did not meet our expectations or the reviews."

"All the servers spoke English. Attentive to your wishes. Good came quickly and correctly as ordered. The wine choices were as requested. We had never drank this much before this. The food portions were small but kept us adequately full and not feeling like bloating after a big meal. Finally, everything is inclusive. We didn’t need to look at the price. By the way, you can get your reservation before arriving at the Resort by scheduling online with OpenTable app."
