"I often go to this restaurant. the dishes are meat-oriented and are quite heavy, with taking off the lunch-time-salad (which I recommend) during the midday they have repetative dishes, some are great, some (mostly those are not traditional so. their carvings are very good, especially...Müchner schnitzel (with senf in the inner.) the atmosphere is typical bavarian (can it be Austrian, I don't know, plus they will smell their clothing after food through permanently open kitchen door. the service is really traditional, which means super rude. Maybe it's because the restaurant is understated. they have a happy hour in the evening, for beer and certain eating. it is a good place for lazy lunch or an evening beer or carving, could be opened a bit longer than 10 o'clock:"

"We came spontaneously to the idea yesterday to go to Augustiner and also on a Friday 2 hours before we could reserve. The Augustiner is very spacious, but it still looks cozy due to the room layout. The decor and decoration is rustic, but in a fresh and not excessive way. You feel in a pleasant way that the house has history. It's all beautifully dressed and upheld. We felt comfortable right away. The beer dark a pleasure!!!! There is food for meat and veggies. We had the breadboard, Kaiserschmarrn ohne Rosinen, Pfifferlinge mit Brezenkloß, Fleichpflanzerl all very good and rich. Only a little more bread would be good for the breadboard. But we could reorder. The service was always friendly and fast. We like to come back."
