"Had breakfast here because I was staying at the attached hotel. food was good. A tad expensive though. Had steak and eggs. The waitress didn't come back to check on me during my meal and i ran out of water and coffee. There was only one other customer in the place. It was quick to get my food though and i asked for medium rare and got medium. It was still a decent cut of meat. Two televisions had sound turned on and both on the same station and out of sync so that ruined the ambience. I was also here the night before and there is a bar with decent pricing on beer, hockey on tv, and an open pool table. No complaints about the bar service. I am not sure of her name but kudos to the girl from Afghanistan for the excellent bar service on the night of good friday. I would go back to the bar at night when staying at the hotel again but breakfast probably not."

"Generally enjoy this place but my recent delivery order was a train-wreck. The restaurant was about 14 blocks from my place but, when the food was picked-up the driver went in the opposite direction and made multiple drop-offs in west-vanier and downtown before gradually making their way back to the place that was practically viewing distance of the restaurant. Had a discussion with the delivery driver and it seems that their delivery system is woefully inadequate."

"Out today with two other friends for Brunch at Perkins, great place that serves breakfast all day. We had a great time catching up on news. We had an attentive male server who we thought was being a bit of a jokester. While clearing the table he said that the bill had been taken care of... we thought he was just joking until another server came over and told us that his patron, a couple with child had taken care of paying for our Brunch bill! I wonder if I will ever know who this was? What a great surprise! I wanted to get a piece of pie to go at the Perkins Bakery but couldn’t decide on the chocolate silk or the coconut cream, so I got both. Just heading outside to the car the server came after me and said that the one piece of pie was the last one and it was smaller then usual and she wanted to correct it. I gave her the bag, two minutes later she came out with a fresh cut piece and she included the other small piece too. How nice was that! I hope in the near future I can 'pay it forward '!"

"My wife and I had a guest visiting from Singapore. She was keen to visit local sites and the Miller's Oven checked one of the boxes on the list of places to visit. The food was very well prepared and was delicious. Very different from...Asian cuisine but that is what made it special. The desserts are sublime and we were not disappointed with the very fruity and freshly made pies. Prices are great and the service was friendly."
