"I would support everything previous critics have said about this Indian restaurant. However, you must be aware that they add 10% service to your sum without positioning it in any way. So it's just if you're the bill you'll realize that your total is 10% more than it should be, and there's no idea why. No words 10 service and no amount in the column. This is dishonest and misleading and probably leads to an ugly 20% tip. I have always added service without recognizing that they contain it a very underhand and hidden way. I asked the waiter who got a little shy and said his boss told them to do it. I like the food, but I won't go back."

"I visited Old India at Bristol on 30 March for dinner. I ordered chicken with hot chilli and it was great. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. Will visit there again!"

"Eating that arrived was usually delicious except the popadoms that were very gumy (plus £1 a go). the food had spit everywhere, since none of the pots was well sealed. the restaurant missed two things and when we called them to ask to resend, they...related to recognizing any mistake, claimed it was packed under camera that they could be email footage and were very sexist and protective, called my friend "my dear" constantly before hanging on us. we're still waiting for the CCTV movies. would not recommend ordering from here. we have tried to increase these problems with the restaurant directly, but the person we spoke with was rude, sexist, incredibly unhelpful and finally suspended when we asked about the video material he referred to! as such I expect an equally unhelpful answer to this review."

"The food here is very tasty and the service is very good here too. However, the food is served in Bowls and it loses heat very quickly and goes luke warm, perhaps providing heated tray surfaces, as in other Indian Restaurants would resolve the issue. The Nann breads comes cut into 4 pieces and served in a cold metal dish, that's fine, but again due to this process the bread goes cold very quickly and deflates"

"That is my preferred curry house for ordering the delivery, but last night was the first time I inaugurated for the farewell party of a friend. we had an absolutely wonderful evening, the staff were very patient with our large and disorganized group, very friendly and very organized to ensure that everyone got part of their order. the food was absolutely delicious, each dish was perfect, and the portions were in front of the place! it was an extremely pleasant evening and I will definitely return to the din!"
