"I was here a month or so ago and pleasantly surprised at the good veggie breakfast laid on. The veggie sausages, toast and mushrooms were beautifully cooked. Hash browns could have been cooked for a little longer- same with eggs which I prefer firmer but...I expect I could have asked for this and it would have been done. Beans and tomatoes also fine. Returned today and this option not available as they will be closed for refurbishment soon. However I had eggs, toast, mushrooms, chips and all good. I sat outside both times great view of the maze and sea from here but there is also indoor seating when the weather is grotty. Both times wolved my breakfast down before getting a photo!"

"The Restaurant is always full house and queue up at peak hour. I gave it a try to find out why. It is because the quality is high with reasonable price and attentive service. I ordered two courses dinner just 12.5 pounds and add 2 pounds with a dessert. Prawn cocktail is fresh with ice lettuce that is good mix of salad. The signature (Donatello) pizza, it has thin and crispy base that is same as what i ate in italy. While the tiramisu is soft, puffy, smooth and less sweet. It should be the best price for value in The Lanes."

"We were a family of 4 adults and 2 children for Sunday lunch. Booked on line for a table in a booth not knowing what that would be but thought it would contain the children a bit! We were actually initially seated on 3 small round pub tables pushed together in the main bar next to the door to the garden area. It would have been ok but there was quite a breeze and the door was propped open. Outside were what I assume are the booths I think 3 wooden huts/ cabins are all set up with one big table inside for a group. We were told we could have one of these if no reserved sign so we did! Don’t know why we weren’t put there in the first place but…"
