"We had a chance to pop in but only had an hour for lunch... no problem coffee orders taken and delivered in minutes... ordered the Chorizo pasta and Hoochie Mamma burger ..... delivered piping hot and smelling fantastic with a smile ...all in 15-20 minutes....The food was fresh and full of flavour, the fries with the burger crisp and hot. Cant ask for a better lunch... oh yes ..discounts for uni students and the hospital staff ... these guys look after their community."

As soon as you walk into Mama Rosy's you feel instantly at home as the beaming staff greet you like family! The interiors are cute and cosy, and the pizza oven is in full force crisping up delicious woodfired creations. <br>

The staff seem to be all Italian, and it's the friendliest restaurant experience I've had in a long time! Our waiter was particularly cheeky blowing kisses and joking around. <br>
<br>
I've been seeing Mama Rosy's famous antipasto platter all over insta lately, so was very keen to try this one out. And I'll tell you what, they are giving Jamie Oliver a run for his money in the antipasto race, because the platter game is so strong here. <br>

A huge board comes up laden with all sorts of goodies including fried mozzarella cheese, Octopus, Prosciutto, Ricotta, Fried polenta, Potato croquettes, Bruschetta, Arancini and Olives. <br>

I could have eaten a plate of the fried mozzarella!!! So crispy and oozy and salty oh my. The prosciutto was on point and there was absolutely tones of it! The arancini were filled with cheese and mushrooms, and the ricotta was a nice tough to add to everything. An absolute stand out, don't come here and not order it!<br>

For main we wisely opted to share a pasta, as we chose the four cheese gnocchi goodness and knew it would be a rich affair. As cheesy as it was creamy, what tasted like a hint of truffle oil, and the softest pillows of gnocchi. We had to take a half time break, but we didn't leave a bit it was delicious. <br>

Dessert was another platter, because why not! This platter is perfect for those who struggling at making food decisions and live in fear of ordering the wrong thing and suffering food envy. Because the platter has it all! Creamy panna cotta topped with a blueberry sauce, two slices of gorgeous chocolate cake - which was my fave pick so I'm glad there was 2! - and a huge slab of tiramisu which was very generous on the alcohol! <br>

An absolute gem on King Street in Newtown, if you're craving some seriously good Italian and some witty waiter banter then this is the place for you! There's so much more on the menu to try, I can't wait to come back! <br>

"My friend and I decided to take advantage of our unexpected break between classes by treating ourselves to açai bowls on this hot ass day. Unlike the weather, the food was terrific and for $12.50, the portions were generous and they really packed it with fruit!"

"We were out browsing the shops and markets in Newtown and had gone a fair way down to Enmore Rd. We decided it was time for a caffeine hit and stopped by Macaroni for this. It's clearly an Italian restaurant that serves a wide range of dishes and it seemed a shame to be simply having coffee but that what what we wanted and needed! The [lace has a kind of industrial feel to it with blackened ceilings, exposed brickwork and a lot of natural dark timber."

"We had a Taco Box and a Royal Burger....both were well below average. Taco Box was very dry and the burger was particularly tasteless. The outdoor atmosphere was pretty good. Regretfully we did not eat the cardboard box part of the Taco Box....it could have saved the day!"
