"Food and service are excellent. also the employees are so courteous, we have booked the dining room and asked for a terrace table and got it, then when our party rose to 5 they still managed to let it pass on the terrace. that is directly at the sand, each table has a look and it is not jam packed. a sunset on the beach after having captured a perfect afternoon. highly recommended."

"Nicolas Eatery is a refreshingly great restaurant that treats its customers and the food they order with delicate care and respect. We were blown away the first time we visited. We never go back to the same restaurant two days in a row but we returned the next day for take out.Everyone wants to know about the food so let’s start by saying if you can make mashed potatoes taste this good, with this much nuance, you are a freaking magician. We had the lobster roll, avocado malibu (with grilled shrimp and tomatoes), buttermilk chicken sandwich and the salmon tacos. Everything was art. On the second day we ordered the Korean fried chicken, bib salad, truffle fries, mashed potatoes and the lobster mac and cheese. Again, so good and everyone was impressed.Restaurants are really challenging to manage and it shows that Nicolas and his family go to great pains to make it right for their customers in every possible way. Ever since the pandemic I’ve grown incredible respect for restaurant owners and operators but that’s not to say that every restaurant gets it right. Nicolas Eatery does and for their dedication to the craft, for their operational hardwork, for their family’s unifying kind attitude to every single customer it deserves every good review and more. Some dips**t at Infatuation said something like “the food won’t knock your socks off” and this feels so offensive to me. It should anger the locals who love this place. We went to Malibu Farm for dinner last night, where I would not go back even if someone paid me to eat there.Initially I thought the family was Italian but based on the nuances from the food it feels like there is a strong French influence. I hope the Malibu community can continue to support this beautiful place. If you’re visiting, don’t be an idiot and leave a puny tip or make the kids run back and forth with your tap water demands. Order alcohol or at least drink bottled sparkling water (for everyone who asks for free soda fountain water remember there is a special place in hell for you). Tip well. Tell Nicolas and fam that they’re doing a good job. Enjoy the food for years to come. Pray that it stays around forever."
