"Good selection of sushi, rice paper rolls, stir fry dishes, noodle soup and dumplings. They even have banh mi! Reasonably priced for the location and very friendly staff. I had an assorted nigiri pack with 4 x salmon, 2 x tuna and 2 x prawn for about $8.90. Tasty! Will be back for lunch soon!"

"Was craving Japanese food and discovered this spot on EatClub. It's not the best or most authentic Japanese food, but tastes good and is affordably priced (even without the discount). The thin yakisoba are well flavoured and not too oily and full of veg. The tofu don is a bit boring but at least it's clean and relatively light with nice, sweet onions and an egg on top, in the traditional fashion. The nasu dengaku is a great addition to these two dishes."

"Supernormal is a Melbourne institution, and it's easy to see why. The food is delicious and accessible, while the service is truly outstanding. This is about as far from the stuffy fine dining experience as you can get; instead, staff are casual but very attentive – with a seemingly psychic ability to anticipate your needs! My group booking went very smoothly, with all dietary requirements taken into account and a change in the number of guests in our party no trouble at all. The restaurant was easy to reach by phone and confirmed everything with a call to me after I booked through OpenTable, which was reassuring. The $65pp banquet menu is also very good value for money. Great wine and cocktails too! We loved our meal at Supernormal."

"A great place to go for a fun dining experience. Sitting up at the bar was great. Fun, interactive staff made the night. We had the banquet which was delicious. A great selection of food came out in a nice order. Highlights include the lobster rolls, buttery brioche surrounding beautifully cooked lobster. The cumin lamb with the buns, which we dubbed "fluffy pillows of happiness!" So light and fluffy!Definitely recommend the yuzushu as a drink. A fabulous dining experience."

"Our booking was for lunch at 2.30 so it wasn't particularly busy. The food was good-we had the sambal stingray which saw delicious but the moroccan claypot had a layer of oil on top so that was not particularly enjoyable and there wasn't much seafood in it either. The service was average. I think they were more focused on getting ready for the dinner shift than checking in with customers etc."
