"Awesome view above the jungleWaiters too pushy with orders, due to the fact the restaurant already closes at 10pm. If you enjoy the sunset till 7pm & finish your cocktail after, there's obviously not much time left to enjoy a large menu with white & red wine"

"We must have come on an off night because most of the reviews were fantastic but we unfortunately didn't have that experience. The night we visited the mosquitos were out of control and we were constantly getting bitten. They landed in our drinks and the waiters just shrugged apologetically but didn't offer to replace the drinks. My husbands lobster was not cooked thoroughly and rather than replacing the dish, the waiter scraped the lobster onto another plate - took it to the kitchen and came back with it overcooked. Not a great experience :("

"Siamo stati qui a mangiare con coppia di amici che si erano già fermati giorni prima durante tour rovine Tulum... che dire... location stupenda in riva al mare... si respira aria di relax. "Momo Hoja is off the beaten path, but a true hidden gem in the heart of Tulum. Nestled behind the TulumBay Eco Beach Hotel and the sea front of a private beach alcove is this quaint little restaurant that boasts one of the most spectacular...views of the bay. Choose to dine on the outside deck overlooking the water while you enjoy a simple breakfast, or eat indoors in the warm and inviting glow of a romantic beach house setting of the main dining space. I did both, over two nights! Breakfast is comprised of simple fair such as eggs/omelettes, your choice of meats, bread, and jams. Dinner was a special treat as the restaurant has hired a well-known pop-up chef from Milan who served us a special meal that was not only delicious but incredibly artful in its presentation. This was a pre-fixe meal limited to one night only. A five course meal where each plate delighted the palate. The chef took local, Mexican ingredients, some of them straight from the sea, and presented us with a meal that wowed in presentation and taste. A few courses were inspired by his home of Italy, others inspired by his new home of Tulum. It was like having a special pop-up dinner in Tulum! The owners were incredibly sweet and attentive, and the bartender very welcoming (not to mention a great conversationalist and mixologist). We were very pleased, and will go back again on our next visit to Tulum! You can't beat the view, either!"

"My BFF and I were dying to come here since our last trip to Tulum and were super stoked to get a reso via email. It wasn't our favorite meal on our trip but it was a good one. Here are some notes. Music - Was great! I want the play list. Ambience - Super Vibey, candlelit, romantic. Drinks - I sent back my first cocktail. I'm a cocktail snob, I used to manage a night club known for it's craft cocktails so I was excited when I saw some interesting ones on the menu but super disappointed when it got to my table and it hit my palate. It was watered down and tasteless. Seemed like they probably shook it too long over the ice and perhaps it should have been stirred instead of shaken, nonetheless, it tasted like water so it went back. I then ordered a margarita. It was average, I would've expected better from here but oh well. Perhaps the bartender was having an off night. Food - We ordered the lobster salad, fish of the day and the short rib. The short rib stole the show. It was soft and moist, fell off the bone, a little fatty but I love eating the fat especially when it's been soaked in some sort of amazing marinade all day, absolutely relish! Fish was good too but not the favorite, we really couldn't stop eating the short rib. And lobster salad was well put together and tasty with some cool ingredients. All in all a good meal and worth the money. TIP - lots of mosquitos here. The staff does it's best to constantly walk through with copal to detour the mosquitos from biting you but it doesn't help much. I kept feeling them on my legs and ankles. Gross. TIP - It's pesos only guys, you can't pay USD or CC."
