"Five stars is too few. I had a wonderful evening. The staff were brilliant from the moment I walked in the door. Exceptional, kind personal service like that is rare, and enchanting. The rooms are low key, classy and together with the tableware, and ambience, add to the experience. The plateware needs a mention, with something unique and interesting for many courses, each suited to the dish. I chose the Blind option, where you trust the restaurant to deliver a degustation style series of wonderful delicacies, local produce, and mostly traditional Portuguese ingredients. It was mesmerising. With this option, you are teased a little, in that the main ingredients aren't revealed, so you must really taste the dish. I loved it. I'll not describe the specific dishes, to allow you the option of this discovery yourself, although an a la carte menu exists. Special call out to Anna, the talented pastry chef last night, who presented a surprise to begin and a masterpiece to end. Porto is blessed to have such a wonderful restaurant thanks for the memorable night."

"My husband and I took the opportunity to try this place before our concert at Casa da Musica which was a short walk away. We definitely wanted to try the percebes (goose neck barnacles) so we bought one of the platters that features them. We also bought a starter of scallops. Both were really good and a treat to eat. The restaurant is in a food court so the ambiance isn't romantic but there were a lot of local people so that is always definitely a good sign in my book. Definitely try it out if you like seafood and should you get the chance."
