"We booked the Elephant as a 50th Birthday celebration and upon arrival I was presented with a birthday card which was a nice gesture, the waitress was very attentive and professional which made the evening more enjoyable. As we were choosing which menu to go for we decided upon the tasting menu as it showcases the chefs dishes and trust me it didn’t disappoint as it was stunning but we both agreed the Cod was the star of the show this evening. We both highly recommend this restaurant"

"We didn't actually have any of their fish and chips, just hot drinks but they were so welcoming and helpful. I left my purse in the toilets by mistake but they kept it safely for me."

"Stayed here nights. Parked on road as car park was full. free parking outside on road. In fact easier than car park as it looked all tight parking spaces in car park. Room was ok. Nice large room with very large bed and was...a comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine. Choice of cooked or cereals etc. One thing I have to mention is dirty laundry left on one of the landings. This appeared on second morning of our stay and was still there when we left. Rooms were being serviced so cleaners for rooms must of passed them each day. Totally acceptable . Especially in these times when we are all doing our best to thoroughly deep clean things . There were hand sanitisers by reception and on all the landings. It was confusing finding our room, this was right at the top. Landings went off in different directions and doors to other stairs, once I nearly went into a cupboard thinking it was to the stairs. So could of done with more reception signs on landings. Only saw one when we reached ground floor."
